I recently met Mrs. Marshall in NC...She is an awesome person! Sharp and caring! Although she is very nice, professional and firm...you can see her values are top notch! PS... and as Far as Mr. Cuban is concerned...he seems to be an awesome person...making the right moves...he certainly has my support! All the best to both...Forward March! :)

If anyone wants to actually read her resume and read into who she is maybe then it wouldn’t look like he just wanted to hire a black woman. Though times are harsh on women and people of color, that is not always how it goes. He made the right choice. Mark wants to make things right.

What the new CEO says about Cuban doesn't even want to look at her action plan says a ton. Cuban just wanna have fun, he doesn't care, doesn't want to get involved, or even be responsible for the other aspects of the team. Unfortunately owners have ultimate responsibility for everything.

Says alot thats hes not cheap. Alot of woman are gonna be happier. These woman sacrifised for many many more. I hope the people who left the career would be compensated and offered a new start with a fresh path back on the team. Nice play mark. Yes , he has no problem donating the full 10 mill. Reports will show and he knows it but 10 mill to a billlionaire is 10k for everyone else.

Mark Cuban is a good dude. Yes, he made some mistakes but nobody is perfect. I live in Dallas and have been a Mavs fan since the 80's so i've followed Cuban since day one. He just got caught up in being Mark Cuban and dropped the ball as a result. It wasn't done with malice. He has owned up to his mistakes and has vowed to do better going forward. So let's give the guy a break!

Now I know why the Dallas Mavericks have been a dissapointment for so long, even with all the support and money available.The front office was too busy with extra curricular activities; not putting the time where it matters in making the team great. It is sad to hear how so many women have been hurt. The Mav's fans should also be upset in now knowing the front office was not doing what was right for the team to win. But the lives of women who have been affected comes first before basketball now.

I'm no Mavs fan. I think Cuban screwed the pooch on most of this stuff leading up to things blowing up. BUT he explained HOW and WHY he has trust in this woman and was then willing to delegate the control in this situation. He also explained how he didn't do that with previous leadership when he bought the team. Mark Cuban crams 30 hr days into a 24 hr day (20 hr day of we assume he sleeps at least 4 hrs). When you're a mogul at his level you have to delegate most things to qualified people. He's learned the hard way that he needs to be more diligent to vet his people moving forward. I actually believe he wasn't culpable in all of this. He was simply a hard working self made millionaire (at the time) that had the opportunity to fulfill a dream and buy a NBA franchise. He went into it like any NBA fan would. Little to no knowledge of the operations of a NBA franchise. And he did what we all would, which is rely on the leadership/staff that was already in place. Moving forward he will be a better and more proactive businessman and leader.

He has learned nothing, just blindly delegating the day-to-day of a sports franchise while he handles the fun stuff. The only difference is that he put a woman in charge this time. FYI: women can be assholes too... as John Oliver would say, #Feminism? Don't get me wrong, she sounds like she'll run the company right, or at least a hell of a lot better than the guy who got you into this mess, but you can't continue to claim to be the most hands-on owner in sports when you turn a blind eye to a critical part of your organization TWICE!

Concur. Watching this interview is very painful. I work in management at a NPO and the fact that Mark Cuban is not getting involved in the "plan" just because the new CEO is a colored woman is a huge warning sign that he might run into trouble again. This is very scary...
@reisemoran8954
@reisemoran8954 6 жыл бұрын
Jack Chen he is being involved in the plan. The whole point of this interview was to introduce her and have her explain what the next move is. Mark Cuban is obviously going to continue to be involved because he’s a level-headed person. He’s not just going to throw money at someone for looks, her resume is killer. She also just happens to be African American and a woman. That’s literally all it is. He isn’t going to fuck off once she sits down and starts working, he’s going to make sure he’s getting a bang for his buck and that all of his employees are taken care of the right way.

@ExquisiteKinkyCoils 6 жыл бұрын
KingDave Durosier, I can only speak for amazon having worked there, & I saw Bezos twice a week. For all it's problems amazon has, their issues have nothing to do with Mark's poor leadership with the Dallas Mavericks staff outside his players and coaching staff. Stop giving Mark excuses because he truly fucked up and is trying to spin this controversy of a shit show in his favor.
@davedurosier
@davedurosier 6 жыл бұрын
I have been working for walmart for over 8 years. I have never seen anyone but the managers at the store and the district manager that stops by here and there because that is part of his duty. I guess every company owner operates differently and chose to be involved differently as well. What I'm saying is: in most iconic companies, you will not see their owners ever if you are just a regular employee. Not giving him excuses, its just facts. I also worked at Macys and same applies.
@ExquisiteKinkyCoils
@ExquisiteKinkyCoils 6 жыл бұрын
@@davedurosierYes, you are making excuses for Mark. He's claims to be highly intelligent & always aware of everything going on with his businesses, especially with the Mavs, yet for 20 years, suddenly he's developed amnesia? For 20 years he wasn't aware of how horribly toxic and corrosive the workplace environment was within his own organization? Not 20 seconds, 20 minutes, 20 hours, or 20 months, but 20 long years the workplace conditions with his staff were highly dysfunctional and hostile, and somehow someway he was unaware. This is the same successful entrepreneur who've stated numerous times, to paraphrase, that no one should know more about your company than you. Not only that, he's a business mentor to countless entrepreneurs. I will not suspend reality to accept his poor excuse of being completely unaware of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct within his main business as owner of the Mavs. Either he's inept, or a liar. I choose that latter. He's not the first powerful man to use the "I don't know/didn't know/wasnt aware/not to my knowledge defense", & he will not be the last. Paying $10 millions dollars to women's organizations and hiring overly qualified and competent Cynthia Marshall isn't going to undue the damage done to his credibility and reputation.
@davedurosier
@davedurosier 6 жыл бұрын
Just by reading your first sentence, I can already see that you are off topic. I am not talking about any personal issues pertaining to him as that is a whole other discussion. I AM TALKING ABOUT THE WORKERS THAT ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT SEEING HIM LADY. They should not expect to see the man if they are not any executives because they do not deal with him. How many people see the owner of iconic companies like Macy's or Walmart??? I said what I said and my statement still stands.
@ExquisiteKinkyCoils

@@davedurosier Lastly, don't try to turn this topic into me, child, because I'm not the one. I stand by my posts and statements. You're loud, whiny, and wrong. This topic is beyond your skill set, experience, and basic common sense. Not only was your flimsy point about owners of major corporations not being seen was debunked, it also flies in the face of the assumption of Mark's so called limited presence. Based on his own statement, he's very hands on with the Mavs organization. Don't play simple minded word games with me, child. I'm not in the mood.
