No we’re not. He’s traded away all our assets, wasted money on THJ and Kleber, and the team has little hope of improving more than the other young teams in the west. They have one first round pick until 2030 and no one is coming off the cap space for this coming season. He’s handstrung the Mavs and once again he was bailed out by Luka and to some degree Kyrie. Very unfortunate.

@invisobill21256 ай бұрын
@@RobMoreno-mw5uq you’re not thinking deeply about this. The Mavs used ALL of their assets to get it together for this season, while taking advantage of the west being young still and no team besides Denver being championship ready. Thunder have already made a huge move without even trading any of their million first round picks, getting a good perimeter defender in Caruso. The Mavs young guys have limited upside besides Lively. You think PJ and Gafford and Josh Green are going to improve more than Jaylen Williams, Chet, Antman, Wemby, etc? Kyrie is getting older and already showing he’s not the prime reliable Kyrie in that finals dud. The Mavs have not one player coming off the books for this coming season. They have TWO more years of Kleber who is trending toward becoming unplayable for $11 mil a year, THJ almost unplayable at $19 mil a year. There’s no 3 point shooters to speak of on this team. The Mavs blew it by not locking up Brunson for the right price after drafting and developing him, he would have never disappeared in the finals like Kyrie. They also blew it by trading a bunch of first round picks for porzingis and then trading him for Dinwiddie and a bag of chips, they should have rode it out with him. I’m a Mavs fan and it was a great season but they are not in a good position at all to build on this. They need Paul George or Tobias Harris to have a real chance this coming season and they can’t afford PG, and Tobias, who knows if he can show up when it counts. If you think the Mavs can just “develop” from last year and somehow get over the top, that’s just wishful thinking.
@ThePR2246 ай бұрын
@@invisobill2125he made trades that needed to be made and all those players matched or overachieved expectations. He finally got the mavs two good centers and he has a lot to work with now. First rounders aren’t everything, and when you have somebody like Luka, you need to grasp those opportunities to improve the team, even if that means trading picks. They want to win now instead of waiting for development through drafts. People are acting like they traded first rounders for 34+ year-old players. This core is young, and Nico has done a great job changing this core in a relatively short time!
