Reece, we only met a couple times, while i was a student interning at AXIS. It would have been around the time this video came out, everyone was so thrilled. I couldnt take ten steps without someone telling me to watch it, whether i was working with them or it was just someone chatting me up outside on my lunch break. I was writing my first book at the time, and it brought me a lot of peace seeing how much Ballymun loved you. Like maybe there's a place in the world for ghetto poets. Thanks for everything, and word to Ballymun. I couldn't have been much farther from home, but I've never felt so welcome anywhere in the world. Peace and love to you and yours, forever and ever.

Jesus Christ...Not gonna lie: I have never been able to make it through this entire video without feeling emotional...Teary with goose bumps all over my body with the promise of hope and eternal light towards the end....This song has me vibrating at a different meaningful, higher level/frequency. The message is just too damn powerful to miss. I've got buddies who are Irish -and been extremely fortunate in this lifetime to have been in heartfelt man-to-man discussions of some of the darker emotions some of them carry with them. And although I do not understand it at that level bc I haven't walked in their shoes and haven't lived their experience... I am able to empathize (the same way I feel internally when I hear this song). Suffering and pain are universal to humankind but at varying degrees because of cause/effect that not only stems from the individual's choices, circumstances, and situations, but MUCH further back into collective experiences lived and experienced by ancestors (Jungian psychology). Sabre's masterpiece is able to provide a many practical solutions we each can do to just "be presently there" for those that feel isolated and disconnected. My love to Irish people everywhere...I got you

Thing I love about Maverick is he is unashamedly Irish and looks for the working people, same ways he has done his tunes in a London setting, he sticks to his roots, doesn't change his accent and is just a good honest man. You learn more about the real ireland from this video than anything you'll see elsewhere, and he is proud of it.
