Mavic Pro Battery Error

Your problem is that the Mavic battery pack is out of balance. Go into the battery menu on the DJIGo4 app and look at the cell voltages. Unfortunately, the Mavic battery management unit does not maintain cell balance. If one cell drops to 0.15v lower than the others, you will get this error. Discharging the pack to cutoff and recharging will *not* help, and will in fact cause even more damage to the low cell because it will over discharge it. You only have two choices - toss it in the trash or fix it by cracking open the pack and installing a balance plug. Installing a balance plug is not recommended for folks who are not familiar with the dangers of working on live battery packs. If you short out something, you could cause a fire. If you are still willing to give it a shot, take a look at my post on the Mavic Pilots forum: mavicpilots.com/threads/balance-plug-for-mavic-pack.34806/ I brought one pack back from the dead this way and have flown if at least a dozen additions times over the past year. Today I started flying my Mavic Pro again and discovered that I have another pack with the same problem. I am in the process of doing surgery on it right now...

My mavic pro has the same problem. You are absolutely right. But,, how can we solve this problem? Are there any way to release some voltage and make it balance?

Hi Doug, I had the same problem a few months back with one of the extra batteries that I purchased as the combo more, Now a few months down the road I have exactly the same problem again with the battery that was installed in the Mavic, I know this because I don’t have a battery box for this battery! Anyway the complete package I bought last June 12th and this faulty battery is in very good condition with no damage and only been charged I think 8 times! I emailed DJI yesterday and am waiting on their reply! Subbed to your channel and look forward to more videos. Dave in the UK.

Same error message here. I wonder if this is not a so-called programmed error. I flew about 4 hours or 75 kilometers in total with my battery.

As much as I hate to buy expensive new batteries I hate to replace a MP that fell from the sky. My parrot anafi fell from the sky but I have no way to check cell voltage and no firmware safety warnings on the battery. I'm no fanboy but I think this is a good safety, and drone saving feature?

same problem with my dji battery. happen after complete 100% charge. after few days, 70% battery, still same. than after a month, i test again with 37% battery, problem fix by itself. now, the battery ok like before.

i having the issue after my firmware update..sadly cant claim warranty since ard over 6months...any solution? i didnt crash before, and is new battery, around 24 charge

try uninstalling firmware update. I think you might be on to something. my error was after an update also... then recharge battery fully to balance the charge.....

ImmoQualitas my two batteries just started doing this too after the update and my drone is flying off since in its own too almost crashed a few times in process. Got mine in April never crashed or landed hard. Having video glitching issues since too. New battery is only two months old at most.

I have a REAL way to fix it! I spent countless hours and finally got it fixed! Search youtube for “ digdat dji hack” he will explain how yo can get the developers menu on dji assistant 2. Once you open the developet you can go to dashboard then battery and change the setting from dji battery to another manufacturer and it immediately removes the “battery authentication error” SO HAPPY! Now I dont have to send it back and wait

Hello Greg. I followed your advice and have changed the battery to non-DJI in DJI Assistant but I still get the "battery err" on the RC. Could you please share more details how you were able to overcome the issue? I believe many unhappy Mavic owners who suffering from the issue would be very thankful to you. Thanks in advance.

Алексей Устинов if you are still getting the error then something else is wrong. As soon as I chnaged mine to non-dji battery the error went away and i could fly no problem. If i changed it back to dji battery the error would reapear. Nothing more. I think you may have another problem with ur battery

Hello Greg Thanks for the quick reply! May be it depends on the current FW version? In the digdat0 video he first downgraded to 1.03.0700 as this is the last version that allows to remove fly zone restrictions. Mine is 1.04.0300. I did not want to make significant tweaks, juts get rid of battery error. What version do you have?
