I worked many years in healthcare field. When we got blood on scrubs. Would dab spot with pure peroxide on blood directly. Than washed in washing machine on cold with regular laundry detergent after getting home. Worked fantastic taking blood off fabric. Also works fantastic on other clothing too. Using same method. Thank you for sharing your outcomes also.😇💖👍

Does it have to be washed in cold water specifically? I usually use hot water in the washing machine.. would that just set the bloodstain in more versus lifting it?
@tamsondarland89512 жыл бұрын
@@dreeemer Use peroxide before washing machine. Pour peroxide on spot and rub in. Then use some dish liquid like Dawn on spot and rub in. Then can place in washing machine. Both cold or hot washing machine temp works fine.

This might be a little tmi for some people but I use cloth pads during my monthly. At the end of the week I soak them in OxiClean (name brand, I never tried generic before but I might now) with water over night. The next morning I rinse them out and if their are any stubborn stains left (usually their isn't) then I use a stain remover stick on it and let it sit for about a hour. Then I throw them in the washer. Cloth pads are great because you save money in the long run, they are better for the environment, they come in all sorts of sizes and shapes and they work better then disposable.
@sherryhere84984 жыл бұрын
Same here! 🙋🏻 I was extremely sick of the environmental pollution so i decided to not contribute further. I am extremely comfy in my self-made cloth pads and would recommend to other women as well. x

You're right - I said it did a very good job, but as you observed it really only got about 50% of the stain out. We don't recommend using contact solution. It's expensive and doesn't do a very good job.

@MoneySmartFamily4 жыл бұрын
Bleach was the best, OxyClean was not as good. Hydrogen Peroxide was really good. If you had to choose, go with Hydrogen Peroxide and use it before the blood dries (if possible). Or, soak the blood stain in water first, then apply the peroxide.
