It's actually insane how good of a prequel fairy tail zero is when you think about the fact that mashima had literally nothing planned for the story when he wrote fairy tail.

The title itself "Fairy tail Zerø"is already giving us a foreshdowing that Zera is a illusion created by Mavis. And If you notice that the letter "O" in the word "ZerO" is slowly fading away each episode and on the final episode. The word "ZerO" became "ZerA" So the real title of Fairy tail Zerø" is FAIRY TAIL ZERA" because Zera is the first fairy that Mavis found... The first fairy tail member is Zera"

@@hehasnolips1371 Zera made by a illusion and Fairy is a mythical creature. Both of them have a common. They made up with our own imagination. I didn't say or mention that Zera is a actual fairy but if you watch the Alvarez arc... When Zera showed up to help the fairy tail against the alvares empire.... Zera claiming herself that she's the first fairy of Fairy tail. First fairy means "The 1st member of Fairy tail" For example... In foire, people call Fairy tail member "Fairy" and mermaid heel called themselves a "Mermaid" and Raven tail called themselves a "Raven" Zera was the first member of Fairy tail cuz Zera is the main reason why Mavis decided to create a guild home so they have home to return after the adventure seeking for fairy but never she shouldn't know that she already met a fairy and that was Zera and that fairy live inside of Mavis's heart where her imagination magic came from.

The O turning into an A was very clever. But strange to me that they used the letter "Ø" instead which has a completely different sound than O, and is part of the alphabet in my country. But I guess it works since a lot of countries aren't familiar with that letter, so it looks like a crossed out O in a way...

@@Shizukayuki92 Ø called null set, it indicate that a data value does not exist in the database. Datebase represents the reality. "The word "Does not exist" fits the plot of FTØ cuz Mavis is alone all along on Tenrou island... Zera didn't survive on the Red lizard guild war. But Mavis unlock her magic and create a scenario that Zera survive and became her friend. If you may ask if the real Zera and the Illusion Zera are the same person... The answer is NO Cuz the real Zera and the Illusion Zera have different personalities. The illusion Zera was created by Mavis's imagination of what Zera looks like when she became her friend. The illusion Zera knew what really happened to the real Zera and she was aware that she was an illusion created by Mavis's imagination.

@@psychokid8314 Oh. I wasn't asking about any of that. I just pointed out that the letter "Ø/ø" is the 28th letter of our 29 letter alphabet in my country. But aside from that it is clever to use it for the title, but sounds weird reading it because it has a different sound than the letter "O/o". I already watched the anime when it was airing, so I don't really have any questions about the story/characters. Just shared a fun fact. :)

The Zera thing WAS indeed very smooth. One of my favourite plot twists in the show. Also, yes, Mavis and Yuri are both teenagers in this video (remember Yuri's first encounter with her, the truth or lie game, where them both being teenagers was a common factor between them and made Mavis lose in the trial round)

It was very smooth, also was hinted at the beginning. They said "she lives by herself" and he was really surprised when Mavis introduced him to Zera.

@@SleepyStreak also mavis narrated that 'no one survived' meaning no one that was actually in the area where people lived survived since mavis was in the forest when it happened. in a way no one who was a victim of the attack survived except for mavis who wasn't involved

I have a question. What's is the worse thing between being fooled with illusions by someone you trusted (like Nirvits do for Wendy for her to have a guild, Cait Shelter) or unknowingly fool yourself with an illusion so that you wouldn't be alone? (Mavis did to herself so that she and Zera would be friends forever)

Law is the base magic, and has been molded for years to form the two evolutions we’ve seen: Fairy Law, and Grimoire Law.

That's why I said "Almost the same". Law is the original one. Mavis created the Fairy variant, which is without the side effect that would cause the Curse of Contradiction. So even though they're pretty much the same, they' aren't exact copy of each other.

Spoiler for this episode. It is really interesting. If you go back and rewatch Fairy Tail Zero from the beginning knowing Zera isn't real you will see that no one but Mavis talks to Zera, Zera doesn't do anything, touch anything, fight anything. It is weird seeing you missed that.

At the time, it was still an original Law, with the demerit of cursing the user with Ankhseram curse. Fairy Law, and later, Grimoire Law, are the improved versions that erase the demerit.

I wish Zera never died and really did grow up with Mavis. They could’ve had her be romantically involved with Yuri and she ended up being Makarov’s mother. I hate when a character’s potential is wasted.
