You're so right. There just isn't talent like that anymore. It's the Melodyne generation. I remember the days when you actually had to hit the right notes to be called a singer. I've been on the other side of the board now, and I can't believe what some people consider a "take". Now, it's the engineers who deserve all the accolades. Ronnie was magic, and just seeing him in the same room with Yngwie was a thrill. It's too bad they never collaborated before he lost his voice. That "Dream On" thing was sad.

In 1975, I was 15 years old sitting in the Beacon Theater awaiting Blackmore's Rainbow to hit the stage. Argent had just finished up and I was hugely excited to hear Rainbow and get to see their new drummer, Cozy Powell. When they opened the show and hit the first number, Do You Close Your Eyes, I sat amazed at the immensely powerful Ronnie James Dio. The range & power of his voice, the attitude & showmanship; floored me like no other before or since. I saw Robert Plant live many times, I saw Ozzy live many times, I saw Paul Rodgers, Steven Tyler and many, many more live onstage. No one ever commanded an audience to Rock Out with The Music like Dio. Rest In Peace RJD.

Imagine my shock and horror when some James Dean looking fuck takes the stage and starts singing !! I was devastated!! Where's DIO !!? This is NOT Rainbow !! Hear 'n Aid - "Stars "…, The song was recorded in 1985 and to raise money for famine relief in Africa. It is the year 2020. Ronnie James Dio who was one of the promoters of a one-off project died, and ten years passed… Coronavirus spreads worldwide and is the beginning early next year. To many fans and the supporter of the world loving the Hard Rock / Heavy Metal music… Keep up the fight against Covid-19! The more we all do now, the sooner we'll beat this invisible enemy. Don't lose to the disease . Let's spend a yell to all healthcare professionals and medical staff in the world. To every Essential Worker on the front lines in the battle against the disease : Thank You ! You should reevaluate this charity song. This Hard Rock / Heavy Metal song should be reevaluated all over the world ! Let's listen to this song together , sing it loud ! I pray so that the whole world returns to peaceful daily life.

Found this album at an estate sale at an elderly persons home in a box filled with old frank sinatra, nat king cole, bing crosby albums! Never thought in a million years i would find anything "metal" in that box of albums. But i said, "what the hell, im already here, might as well look just incase there is something i might like!" Man...out of that whole box of old albums i found this vinyl record in excellent condition! I couldnt beleive it! I bought it for $1.00! Best find of the year! R.I.P Ronnie James Dio!!! Thank you for all the great music!!!

I cant remember where I heard it or saw it but one of the guitarists that played on this video said that everyone kind of laughed when Neal Schon showed up. They were all hard core metal and considered him to be a pop star. After the first day of recording they all went to a bar afterwards and had an open mic jam session. Neal Schon got up and put on a clinic!! The next day no one laughed at Neal!!

@@bellmeisterful I know. At first I thought Dave was the man. But on Live after Death, you can tell by which side of the stereo spectrum each one is in. One thing's for sure... I can't stand Janick Gers. Don't like his leads, or his looks.

@@bertjones3235 Dude. Since day one that I saw Janick on stage I hated him. He was up there acting like a guitar God, doing all these guitar hero moves. These are the guys who caught a bad rap during the satanic panic of the 80's and it was totally unjustified. Sadly this level of pure talent and compassion is no longer found in this modern junk music we have today. Dio was truly a kind hearted individual who used his music as a vehicle to bring awareness to issues that others would have gladly ignored.
