Tim, nice job on your videos. My new Mavic should be arriving this week and after binge watching your Mavic videos all weekend, I feel I have a huge head start on what it's capable of thanks to your videos. Keep them coming. I didn't see a video for the "gestures" features. Are you planning to do one for that at some point? Also the fixed-wing feature looks interesting.

Does the Mini, when mounted in dual screen mode, obstruct the lanyard's ability to help provide support for the weight of the controller and mini screen? Looks as though the strap would have to wrap around the bottom of the mini on it's way up to your neck and try to tip the whole setup forward as opposed to providing added support.

Hi Timothy..a question about mavic pro..I got mavic about three weeks ago..still not done camera sensors calibration,which we normally do using lap top or desk top screen..is that really important to do..it seems my mavic is working fantastically....second question is where we buy the mavmount 2 from ...? I looked every where on eBay and amazon but found nothing..

Hi Timothy, have you had any experience with DJI Mavic Cinema Tray Handle Stabilizer Bracelet Kit to use the Mavic as a regular camera? I'm going away on vacation and it seems like a good idea to use the drone as a camera as well.

When using a tablet, does it need cellular service? Or would a wifi only iPad Air work? Like the idea of the bigger screen!!

you dont need cellular believe me, I just bought an iPad AIR2 (Oh the joy of being able to see clearly), and thoroughly recommend it. With no wifi you will only lose the ability to Active Track which can be replaced with the Follow Me command. Also it will not DL maps on-the-fly but you can simply scan the area you will be flying when connex to wifi at home. just open the map icon and slide your finger to where you want to go and the iPad will DL the maps and cache them for you. (Pre-downloading maps frees up you're processor for more important tasks. If you absolutely, have to have maps downloading in real time then use you're fone as a wifi hotspot and connex to the iPad AIR2. (BTW: The iPad AIR2 has a brighter screen than the Mini.)

I bought a dual suction cup mount. I just my phone in the mavic controller upside down and use it as a base for the tablet. Total cost about $3.

Great review as always. For me I am sticking with the original Mav Mount. Just not seeing that much of a difference to justify spending another $60. Plus the lanyard for $80 - that's overpriced.

Glad you like the original, and yeah, if you already have it, I can say only about 5 or 6 have upgraded. But it really wasnt a thing for people to upgrade, I just wanted to make it better. :)

No you did it. I broke down and bought one. I couldn't help it. I just got a new iPad Pro and have been using luma fusion to edit. So buying the mount and using the iPad makes sense.

Yes I had it for 3 days before selling it and upgrading to a pro, the reason? 12 Minutes is not enough flight time. Yes, yes I know they SAY it's 16 minutes but it isn't, it's 12.

I appreciate the feedback. I was using the Rode Video Mic Pro. I just picked up a proper shotgun mic and preamp setup so look for the audio side of things to step up the game from here on out.
