Mawlid Gathering in South Africa | Mawlid al-Barzanjī | Mawlid al-Nabī (Mostly Translated)

Mawlid an-Nabī ﷺ Mubarak to all the lovers of the Beloved ﷺ all over the world!
A gathering with Shaykh Siraj Hendricks in Cape Town, South Africa. The Mawlid al-Barzanjī is being sung in the iconic South African melody. The Mawlid was written by the great Shafi’ī jurist, Imam Ja’far al-Barzanjī. He was born in Madinah, in 1706. He travelled the world in the pursuit of knowledge and became the Grand Muftī of Madinah. He held the position for 20 years. Imam al-Barzanjī was described as very quiet and would seldom speak. He passed away in 1755 and was buried in Jannah al-Baqī’. May Allah have mercy on him.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ❁ الْفَاتِحِ لِمَا أُغْلِقَ ❁ وَالْخَاتِمِ لِمَا سَبَقَ ❁ نَاصِرِ الْحَقِّ بِالْحَقِّ ❁ وَالْهَادِي إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ ❁ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَمِقْدَارِهِ الْعَظِيمِ
