Very nice. I did something similar using Csound, but not quite as ambitious. I went in wondering how many oscillators I could pack in per channel. I started with 4 per channel and it sounded great, then moved up to 8 per channel on 4 channels. The sound was pretty intense coming out of 4 speakers.

when I open the maxpat files from github with max 8 I get a bunch of code and not the patches...am I doing something wrong?

@@FedericoVisi Do you maybe know why this (combing?) effect happens only when you put the pass the whole mc signal through the mc.mixdown~ object but it's not there without it? As I understand it the mc.mixdown/mc.stereo is just for channel mixing

@@vojkofau exactly, mc.mixdown mixes multiple mc channels into a stereo pair, and therefore you get all those phasing effects resulting from the combination of multiple oscillators playing at different frequencies
