Also, CBs have to play physical at the line to further disrupt their pass timing. The combo of forcing the QB to hold the ball longer and slowing down their receivers with physical play at the line will do a lot for you!

Crazy Jake brought up the Texas A&M and Duke New Years Eve bowl. Johnny Football was amazing. I believe electric WR Jamison Crowder was on that Duke squad. was there in the 4th row a the old Georgia Dome. It used to be my New Year's tradition to hit the bowl game which would end right before midnight. I would always park across the street from the dome in a parking spot at the very top. We would watch the fireworks from near by Centennial Park. Epic times. That all went to trash with the new stadium because the seat licenses were too steep for my corporate connect.

Bit the thing is that establishing a run game (or somewhat of one anyway) will allow you to control the clock easier and keep their offense off the field. Plus, it WILL open up your play-action passes (freezes their LBs and safeties). Trust ne, that helps a lot.

And pim Texas Tech Deep! The further they have to drive, the greater the chance for defensive stops. Solid punting to limit their field position will help a lot!
@jimphillippi6163 ай бұрын
Also, prioritize getting pressure on their QB with blitz packages and stunts - collapse that pocket! And even if you don't get a sack that time you're still forcing the QB to hold the ball longer which disrupts their pass timing.

On offense, try to have as balanced an attack as you can. Mixing runs with short and medium passes will prevent them from stacking the box (unless you WANT them to stack the box).

Generally, keep your safeties deep to prevent big plays in this game. They can and will go over the top.

And, of course, identify matchups where CU's skill players have an advantage. Texas Tech will struggle to cover talented TEs or backs in space, so use formations that create favorable alignments.

Also, pick a drive onve per quarter to run an up-tempo offense to take advantage of the change and Texas Tech's lack of open field tackling ability.
@jimphillippi6163 ай бұрын
And TAKE FIELD GOALS WHEN AVAILABLE. Scoring on every drive is essential against a team like Texas Tech. Even if CU can't find the end zone every time, putting poinys on the board maintains pressure.

Colorado Bowl. Colorado should create their own Bowl game hosted at the Denver Broncos stadium. CU is the main draw, so why not use it to create an extra revenue stream to pay for the team and attract talent.

@@gemcityentertainment660 To me his best fits are the Raiders, Rams, Titans, Seahawks and, Steelers. He would be great in a timing offense with a running game that allows him to methodically work his way down the field. His ceiling is Joe Burrow, his pocket movement is like Deshaun Watson but he is slower and, his floor is Teddy Bridgewater/ Tyrod Taylor. Those are the players he reminds me of. All of them were pro bowlers, all of them led their teams to the playoffs. If Shedeur gets with a team who is on him about his pocket manipulation and, a team that has a running game he will take off

By blending aggressive defense with a controlled, balanced offensive aporoach, CU can effectively limit Texas Tech's strengths and set themselves up for a win.
@jimphillippi6163 ай бұрын
CU's defense should try to generate turnovers against Texas Tech. Safties be on the lookout for INTs and try to strip the ball. Stripping the ball: First guy there wraps up and tackkes - second guy there strips the ball. Make that a hard abd fadt rule otherwise you will miss a lot of tackles tryimg to strip the ball. Good luck!!

Need Iowa State and Kansas state both to lose before they play, then have K State beat Iowa State. That would give Colorado a spot vs BYU in the BIG12 Championship. I think Iowa State could win that last game too, but that would involve tiebreakers to see if CU would get in.

No no no Sheduer has better pocket awareness than Golf. I like, Golf but he frustrates the hairs off my neck because he just stands there when a lineman is heading dead at him. He's there like a dear in headlights. Sheduer at least gets moving if a defense is coming in his view. Also, Golf throws picks that just doesnt make any sense. Most definitely at the wrong time. Yes Sheduer will be better than them once he get to play in the league.😍💪🏽🏈

@jimphillippi *** I'm gonna tell you something that you've never heard before, "You are exactly correct. I agree wholeheartedly with all your points of reason." Unfortunately for you, so does everyone in the chat. You are preaching as if the audience you are trying to influence has never heard any of these concepts before reading your post. You are preaching to "the choir".
