If you are making a Styrofoam (XPS) Rubber Power Plane, especially a Styrofoam box (not a fruit box) but a regular one, try not to make the pieces too thin, because they will be flexible or soft. I used a thickness of 2.5 mm (more or less) for the fuselage and tail. For the wing, the thickness is 4 mm, I sanded it finely and bent it to form the under chamber airfoil.
For the propeller, you can use a slightly thick plastic cup. Can be any thickness
0.3 mm or plastic cups like mixues etc. If using balsa wood, it can be 1 mm thick.
I used this 2.4 mm rubber (3/32") 80 cm long and circular, meaning 40 cm per strand (15.7 inches) and every inch you can get around 100x turns of rubber. 15.7 x 100 = 1,570x turns rubber (this is maximum and close to breaking.
Last flight 2 minutes 28 seconds with 1,580x rubber turns
