This patch draws spirals. It can do pretty complex stuff and combinations of parameters and input notes lead to ever new possibilities of sounds and visuals. Get hypnotized and let the hours fly by as you play around with it.

A problem with real analog oscilloscopes is that beam intensity goes down as the beam moves faster to draw large shapes. But if the intensity is turned up for large complex shapes, then for small shapes or no signal, the strong beam can damage / burn the phosphor. There needs to be a 3rd Z-axis intensity control so that the software can boost the brightness when drawing large shapes, but use low beam intensity for small shapes or no-signal. If there is no Z-axis intensity control, then set the no-signal beam position to be off-screen so the intense beam is not stationary on the phosphors when it is not being used.

Absolutely amazing! A new link between sight and sound. While watching this I thought it'd be interesting to 'listen' to a neural network that's been trained to recognize classes in images, by turning it's hidden activation into a sequence of sine waves and playing them as an image is presented to the network. Maybe it'll reveal something about the network's processing, or just hopefully sound pretty cool.

What plugin is this and how do I get it? Is this an external program that is just altered with ableton? Or is a plugin that came with Ableton 9? I have only have Ableton 8. If I try to open one of these ".amxd" ableton tells me "Only audio effects can be placed in this kind of track" whether it be an audio or midi track.
