This is Rockstar's 2012 Max Payne 3. It is the sequel to Max Payne 2 released in 2003. The story follows Max Payne as he tries to leave his past behind and start a new life in Brazil. On this part Max Payne takes Fabiana, Marcelo and Giovanna to a nightclub but things go bad.

As a Brazilian, it is ok to hear the Portuguese lines, but to non-portuguese speaking people it must feel disorientating, I think that was the idea that Rockstar was going for, the player feel as disoriented as Max.

i loved it, me knowing a tiny bit of spanish, and both Portuguese and Spanish sounding somewhat similar, I really felt like Max when I was playing, I somewhat understand what they're saying, but not entirely.

the strange man represents death. giving john choices. He takes the choices into account to later judge whether John's going to heaven or hell. strange man says "im an accountant" he also says "i wish i knew more about life" because he is death and death is what he knows best.

Me too - I can't stand loud noises if they're blaring constantly. But it's not just due to my autistic tendencies - I am very health-conscious and in school they taught us that noises above a certain decibel threshold are actively harmful to your ears - and most nightclubs or even bars far exceed them. So even from a pragmatic standpoint, I just don't see the point in spending an extended amount of time in an environment that actively damages your ears to the point you have to scream at people in order to talk.

whenever you went to stop to explain some things during the night club part, I was expecting you to take too long and the game to fail you. which is a sorta secret fail scene, where max just paces around and monologues to himself lol

Pro, I'm disappointed that you didn't play the piano in the apartment just before you save Fabiana. Playing it helps Max recreate the theme song piece by piece. And you should've waited before reading the magazine to hear Max's thoughts about the man featured. Just disappointed. You're gonna have to restart the entire walkthrough to get those clues now.

Also you can see the sushi bar representing the Japanese influence in Brazils cuisine as well as its demographics and its history of course. Heck even Japan encouraged their people to settle in the Americas. Especially Brazil and Peru. Two South American countries for which the Japanese immigrated to. 🇯🇵 🇧🇷 🇵🇪 Also Brazil believe or not has the most amount of Japanese people outside of Japan. Japanese Brazilians outnumber Japanese Americans by a million more.

Claudio does parody famous Brazilian soccer players of its major Brazilian football ⚽️ clubs, and even European soccer leagues. Like Neymar Junior for example. Ronaldinho. Too. Except them being shot in the nightclub part. But it’s true that those players were from the favelas. And practiced the sport so hard they become professional athletes. Also surprising fact: Claudio is Portuguese for Claude. It’s a name common in Brazil and Portugal but also it’s also an Easter egg of Claude from gta 3
