The reason you'll hear things like jefferson overlapping Chloe is because doing individual rewinds voice lines takes up so much space.and theoretically the noises could be rachel amber telling her not to go too far back.

I agree with limbo since if you stop rewinding during a conversation or important event time just stops. Plus I think the creepy noises starting at 3:05 are beta sounds for the noise that plays when you are rewinding too far and get an aneurysm

probably so, remember the event where max was talking to that other version of herself. she probably has the effect of when she rewinds, the time line she leaves behind “remains” or “keeps going” so when she rewinds she exists in between all those possibilities and time flows therefore hearing other shit

I played lis again recently and I never realized how much rewinding spooks the shit out of me. Ecpesially rewinding through dialogue it's so weird seeing peoples facces overlapped and how sometimes their features aren't clearly defined and then the sound on op of it makes it even more unerving

My theory is that this is similar to the speed force but let’s call it the Time Force. For those of you who don’t know what the speed force is it’s bassically like a space force that can show you your past present and future. In this case it’s for max. The loud train noises are for ep 2 when Chloe gets stuck. The sirens are from the dead whales in ep 4 and as shown in the vid there are several different dialogues from each episode when you rewind(as you just experienced them).
