That 2nd poirier fight was so competitive. Holloway had Poirier shooting in the 4th and 5th. He couldn’t believe Holloway was still pushing forward. Gonna be a very competitive fight again with gaethje. Good luck blessed

@@SirJoey420 These two guys get around $700K for this fight, if not more. So, why not? It's the fight and the pay-out that are important, for these elite veterans, not the stupid BMF BS. As both said, they don't know how many fights they could do in a healthy manner. Every time you get a chance to earn close to $1M, do it. And if you don't think Max could just as easily hurt Justin, you haven't been a serious fan. Bulking up to 155 and being as tall as, or slightly taller than Justin, with superior technical boxing --- versus a giant swinger in Justin --- Max shouldn't have too much problem absorbing some hard punches while evading others... and DELIVER some of his crisp, 90% controlled, rapid counters...

Justin never wrestles. That's why he's not a champion by now .The only loss Justin would have on his resume would be Khabib if Justin wrestled. He's the lowest IQ fighter on that roster. All he does is walk out and swing until he falls on his fa e or the other guy does. Max is an unbelievable boxer. If he can pepper Justin amd stay on the outside he can point a win or even maybe a TKO. But if Max gets into a war ? I think he's too small for Justin. Poier bullied Max at 155.

@@jackburton9331u are half correct. The old Justin was like that but Justin within the last couple years has been more calculated. Look what he did to fiziev & Dustin his last fight. He seems to be fighting smarter now. However he still doesn’t mix it up like he should. He doesn’t wrestle or use jiu jitsu & that’s what is preventing him from becoming champ. Look at khabib, Islam & charles. Those guys are phenomenal grapplers & great strikers.

He seems to get sick super easy, as well, which isn't surprising, because just about every time I have cut weight, or wanted to drop down, I've caught something. I never contracted covid until 2022 I believe, because I was cutting so much weight, way too fast, and then getting sick made it even worse. I started to get frail at about 150 lb after weighing up to 205, just a month and a half prior.

Every single person that's fought for that belt, is like that. Diaz v Masvidal was an insane fight, super exciting to watch, and both of them deserve some recognition, for just being showmen, and fighters. Just pure fighters. I know Diaz is kind of an athlete, but in MMA, He couldn't win the championship, although he did fight for it. So did Jorge. Same thing with Dustin and Justin. There's only one of them. If they started handing out one to every division, then I would agree with you, 100%.

And OP, I agree with everything you said except for the heavyweight thing. That's a little crazy, unless you're thinking about adding a super heavyweight division. Probably the only heavyweight that could perform, at a super low weight, and still do just as good, is Jon Jones. Some other guys are just built way too big, to cut down like that. Bones can, MAYBE Gane, But he would be so depleted he wouldn't really be himself I imagine. He doesn't have to cut weight, but to cut down to 235, as lean as he is already, would be dangerous.

Im really hoping Max gives Gaethje a run for his money... And im a Gaethje fan! He's had time to bulk up and and- despite Justin's wrestling history- they both like to stand and strike. Max is a boxer... who is so far knock out proof. Biggest question for me is how much Max's power will increase with his weight. Gaethje can punch- Khabib says he hit the hardest of anyone of his fights. Lets go Blessed!

If max gets Justin’s timing early, he might put on a defensive clinic. Gaethje does have the propensity to load up and swing absolute bombs for every punch. Max being used to 145 speed and how effective he is at making people miss, he might surprise everyone with slipping punches very effectively. But then again Justin always finds a way to land and I don’t believe max has the power to really hurt Justin. He could very well just walk max down and eat shots to land his.
