Played this on Gamepass and had a super fun time with it, besides some minor bugs here and there and the last battle difficulty spike which felt quite jarring but overall such a pretty good title. Planning on playing this on steam later on hardest difficulty

If you want even more difficulty, try evil on your first playthrough and without any aim assist. I’ve struggled a lot against those flying protector bees !

yea i did it. but at later stages of the game i think at mission 12 and on i turned on the aim assist. reaction time you need on pc aiming without it is crazy for some boss fights. even with it its totally crazy. finally finished my 1st play through on evil difficulty. I don't see a point for new game plus. feels the same.

I'm actually playing my first time on Evil and without aim assist (it's a shame to play with aim assist on PC, lol). It's really hard on first levels when you have few enhancements and you are not accustomed to the combat system yet. It becomes easier during the playthrough, however.

Thanks for making this, it's very interesting. Gameplay loops, particularly late game, all things considered stuff, get buried under all the crap that gets in the way. I noticed you don't seem to have one ability or upgrade, the one that is not like the others, something to do with health? Is that because it is overpowered?

there are some perks which cannot be selected if another similar perk is active

There are two perks that you cannot have at the same time because they would cancel each other out since they do opposite things. One of them makes all pickups during a fight health, and the other makes them all energy.

you can level up and unlock new skills that's the only benefit you can get

@@MrYZ69 When you finally unlock every single thing, the combat really starts to shine, but if you played NG on Evil then you really have nowhere else to go. I do believe that NG+ is supposed to be slightly harder, but I played NG on Hard and NG+ on Evil and the second playthrough was easier.

No it's not like DMC. It's like a weird bastardization of god of war 2018 but more focused on hit and run with long range weapons instead of combo and staggering enemies. The melee combat itself is pretty weak as all you get is a basic combo and an uppercut that can have an extension. Then you get 2 more uppercut extensions with a slam and an electric slam, effectively the same thing. However it still works. It's not even close to the depth and fun of god of war (let's even talk about Ragnarok which i played before evil west and boy oh boy, it's ROUGH playing evil west right after gow ragnarok, when evil west can't even compare to gow2018, the game it's emulating). But it's fun in its own way. I just wish it had more oomph in the melee. The f combo is where it's at but it's pretty weak and gets you stuck in a very long animation. Not ideal on max difficulty where everything 1-2 or max 3 shots you.

Are you playing in the performance mode? Response times are way better then Bloodborne with its frame pacing issues causing some unevenness in response.

They left you keep leveling up indefinitely (might be a cap at 50 or 99,) but 35 is effectively the last real level, because after that you have nothing else to spend perk points on.

My only issue with the game is how poorly it preforms on console. Its so overwhelmingly oversaturated that seeing what youre doing hurt your eyes.
