LOVE this tune. a Dark Haunting melody, a Musical Manifestation of all of Max Payne's Undying Rage And Greif, all Wrapped up in an Awesome Late 1980s Synth Package... Perfect Action Movie Music... in the Same Way the Max Payne series is the Pefect Interactive Action Movie. Just a Shame the Second Half is missing, as its even more Awesome than the first part, sure, this bit (on the boat) is thunderously awesome,. but as soon as max puts foot on the dock...the music just goes Atomic!

I think, that part on the boat had something from/of the Miami Vice Movie with Collin Farrell & Jamie Foxx... That 80's feeling combined with that gritty atmosphere & music...loved that part!!

@@Soundtracks666 I'm not sure if the GTAV paus screen music is specifically a remix of this. The pause screen music is based off of one of Tangerine Dream's compositions for the game called "Beyond the Weakest Point" which you can listen to on their own GTAV album that they put out. They are similar sounding pieces though

There's the one part in the Panama level where Passos and Max meet up, and go looking for Daphne Bernstein. There's a tiny stinger to the Panama song with no percussion, just the synthesizers and electric fluctuations. Right when Passos is heading to the docks with Max. Max says, "See. I didn't that Passos was a bad guy." It starts right there, even a little before that. It's got about a twenty second run by that you really blend into the game with. If you could get that, that'd be nice.

Stark contrast to the party scene right before. Max passes out from drunkeness and wakes up to emptiness. This track really made it a memorable level, especially how it painted 2 mysteries: where are the partygoers, and who is Passos, really? But it's because of how relatable the scene is that makes it effective. We all woke up once in our lives to quiet emptiness when the location was full of life before we slept. I remember when I was 9, we went to a birthday party and it was a lot of fun. Then I woke up in the middle of the night, not realizing when I even fell asleep, and woke up to everyone sleeping through a loud thunderstorm. Wasn't I just at an exciting birthday party full of happy people? Those were the last thoughts, so now I'm scared and feel lonely. What happened when I was asleep? The contrast is a bit eery. This chapter was an exaggerated version of that feeling.. Great story, action, and gameplay.
