This game never gets old. I remember playing this when it came out and diving from top of the stadium stairs like that. The scripted moments are badass, but the ones you create in the moment truly are legendary. This game is like RE4 in terms of playing it so many times and still learning and encountering new things. I believe in remedy remaking the first two games, but will they touch the heights Max Payne 3 reached?

Hopefully they go back to the magic holster. 2 weapons is boring, this is the most boring one for many other reasons. The game basically plays itself for you and only 2 weapons just makes it worse. Which they also pick for you. If you need everything to make sense in your video game they can do that now, tying it into the Remedy-verse 😛

To be honest, I quite liked Max Payne 3 A TON. It felt like the game it should have been. Max is getting up there in age, he isn't the same action hero he was in the first 2 games (despite still doing action hero stuff lol) so he's slower and can't carry an arsenal like he could. In this one, he doesn't really have his signature jacket except for in flashbacks, so in my head I always just figured that since he doesn't have the same number of pockets or something to hold as many guns on him. I agree with what you mean though, in order to have some forms of realism, there has to be sacrifices to the gameplay. I think most people who love how the inventory works (myself included) love it because it's never really been done like that in many games.

Some of the best weapon effects and gun violence in any game ever made, not perfect, but very close. The pistols lack impact and the calibre doesn't seem to effect the entry and exit wounds, sadly. This being said, my fav way to play is the "every kill is a bullet cam" and then just unloading round after round for that final cam that happens all the time.

An absolute banger of a game and one with a brilliant soundtrack. The best part of the game I think is when he ends up in Brazil but it's all brilliant. I played this like I played GTAV.....until the wheels almost fell off lol. Now I didn't play Max Payne 1 and 2 back in the day but I was aware of them, I do wonder to myself why they didn't remaster this one instead of number 2 or whatever, this is still a game I could play today in mid 2022 and still get great laughs outta it and good enjoyment. Anyone remember that tech savvy kid with the fuzzy hair in the Branco building? I laughed my dick off when I heard him say "all of this shooting is making me shit my paaaants" 😂😂😂😂

In my opinion, Red Dead Redemption has the best shooting. The amount of details in the injures by gun make the the game really gore

If you shot for example someone with a shotgun, you can see a perfect hole, or if you shot in the head, the head explode! Cool is also the how people burn in the game. They are really realistic

You should install some mods man, this game punches way above. The game is simply timeless masterpiece. I do not think we will ever see any Max Payne like this. I highly doubt Remedy's Northlight Engine would outdo Rockstar's RAGE. Esp in Physics as for story. It all depends if Sam Lake wants to give it justice or just throw it to vultures injecting politics.

Dang, that game got 10 years on its back but it wouldn't be a shame if it was released novadays. Could say that it gets better with the age, like good vine. Maybe it's a case of sentimentality or some kind of nostalgia, but even if so - there is a good reason behind this. I'm looking forward to upcoming remakes and wondering - are they going to stay with static comic like representation (original ones) of the story or they do it like R* with blury, glitching images OR they surprise us with something new.
