Planck’s view of a ‘Divine Mind’ behind the universe is intriguing. If the fundamental reality is consciousness, as he suggested, does that mean science and spirituality are converging on the same truth?

Great point! But do you think human perception limits our understanding, or could it be a key to tapping into those infinite and continuous energies in unique ways?
@SharonCorbett3 күн бұрын
I believe that our ancient origins were very much aware of the inter-connectivity of all living things, to a higher, collective consciousness, in existence before us, and in existence long after. As we have progressively estranged ourselves from nature, laying down borders that uphold an "us and them" mentality - between nations as well as the landscape from which we lived and inhabited in a deeply profound way with all other living beings. Now we have nearly lost all intimate connection to each other and the collective consciousness between us all. As superior as we think we are today to past times, we lose evermore presence and our place in the context of a combined, universal consciousness that has always been in the Universe. We are strangers and ghosts, losing our long entwined string connecting us - like losing grip of a balloon & watching in despair as it floats away, with nothing to be done about it, and no going back.

Perhaps each conciseness, is in it's own, a Universe?
@Spiritual-Quest13 күн бұрын
It’s amazing to think of each moment or thought as its own boundless universe. What inspired this perspective? I like to think every atom, every cell in our body has its own consciousness, but we dont fully understand how they operate at the "consciouss" level.

Same old, If I can't understand it, it must be god. I'll stick with cause and effect until they really understand Quantum Physics. When they're certain, I'll re-evaluate. Skepticism is a good thing.

We as the human race are projectionist in all things did you ever call upon a being and place a mindset of vibrations or thought of a ball lightning energy in all things that is around us micro in its natural state and can expand its density to the viewers ❤
@Spiritual-Quest13 күн бұрын
That's such a fascinating perspective! I love how you tied together the concepts of vibration, energy, and perception. It’s amazing to think about how much of what we experience is a reflection of our own energy. Have you ever tried specific practices to connect with this micro-vibration state, or noticed any profound shifts when focusing your thoughts in this way? ❤

The idea of telluric currents and their connection to timelines is fascinating. How do you think this energy shapes our reality?
@Nyghl013 күн бұрын
No need for the God-smuggling, I'm sure Planck held religious beliefs in some form like nearly everyone born in the 19th century, but there is absolutely zero divinity necessary to panpsychism. I've considered matter and energy to be a subset of consciousness since I first became interested in philosophy as a teenager, and not once has divinity had anything to do with it. It just makes way more sense for experience to be the fundamental substance of existence, with matter/energy not some different substance, but discrete bundles to conceptually break existence down into something that we can model.
@Spiritual-Quest13 күн бұрын
Interesting perspective! But if experience is the fundamental substance, how do you account for the apparent emergence of consciousness in complex systems like brains? Could there be layers to existence that we’re not yet modeling fully?
@Nyghl013 күн бұрын
@@Spiritual-Quest Brains are just another example of these "discrete bundles" of experience that I mentioned. Any identifiable "thing" is like we got some scissors and conceptually cut out a section of experience, just so that we could mentally model it against other discrete "things" in some kind of mechanistic system. Divide it up further for a more complex model and we start dealing with abstractions like matter and energy, but it's all fundamentally a continuity of experience that we started from. Everything is a subset of that. So it's not consciousness that emerges from brains, but brains that emerge from consciousness. There could most definitely be layers to existence that we're not yet modelling fully - for one, the way in which we conceptually divide up experience into something we can quantise and measure could potentially be done differently. But moreso than that, consciousness itself is fluid and could potentially take on any kind of form that we've not experienced before. From our experience of memory though, it seems unlikely it'll *completely* overturn our conceptual modelling - science seems to have come up with such versatile and resilient modelling so far - but new experiences always seem to be throwing us new things to consider, making science a practice of growth that's constantly subject to slight revisions.

@heinzgassner10572 сағат бұрын
No, sorry. Panpsychism is a typical misunderstanding that comes from somehow trying to preserve the inherent existence of matter. Mystics of all traditions have the answer to this, but typically do not use words to convey this understanding. This understanding starts, where words end.
