Fun Fact: Ryu's Crimson Hawk Ranger Form is based off Super Sentai's Ryu Tendo and yes those Hadoukens are hawk shaped they're called Taka Hadouken and they are awesome good God this is the nerdiest thing ever but I love it.

Jokes aside, The Kanji used for Ryu's name is 隆 (Ryū) which means "Prosperous", "Plentiful", "Abundant" But Ryū in other kanjis can be Dragon (竜 or 龍) or Flow/Current (流)

Think about what this means crossover-wise; Ryu who has once crossed over with Marvel vs Capcom, was also part of the Smash Bros multiverse and now he's crossed into with the Power Rangers, who have crossed over with the DC universe, who have crossed over with Mortal Kombat AND the TMNT!! *ALL WORLDS ARE DIVERGING INTO ONE!!*

What I find enjoyable is that the general ‘morphing’ and transforming aspect of a Ranger (the thing that’s implied since Turbo where a child morphing makes them a full grown man form) that always seems to give a Ranger a specific shape and build... Ryu’s upper body and Chun-Li’s thighs don’t care. The Morphing Grid can’t handle toning them down. Lord Zedd’s been dealing with Power Rangers for centuries, that’d be the first time one has had thighs that could kick him to the moon.

I'm not sure what's cooler about the red hawk that Ryu sometimes throws out. The fact that yes, he's actually getting powers from the morph and it's not just Ryu in ranger cosplay, or the possibility that it's a shoutout to Jetman, the Sentai predecessor to what would become Power Rangers.

Some of these moves are in the game, though two of them have different attributes. His thrust kick works more like Johnny Cage's slide kick. His ex Hadouken, which is called Rise Hadouken, causes a knock up, instead of a crumple. If they use anything from Legacy Wars Chun Li, it'll probably be that her lightning leg does fire damage.

I would love to see some Darkstalkers show up as Rangers. Imagine Jon Talbain as a Ranger using his Dragon Cannon or Morrigan as a Phantom Bat Ranger coming out of the ground as bats are surrounding her. A Lol moment would be Demitri in a Ranger costume. Though an out of left field moment would be if a Teenage Anita were to show up. Maybe Pyron as another villain fighter (with Pyron’s goal to gain more power is absorb the grid itself)?

The mobile game has a rock paper scissors mechanics so you do get some of the moves but nothing like the flow of the combos that are possible within battle for the grid

Ryu and Chun li are two of the most recognized Street Fighter characters, but I think Power Rangers should of picked 2 villains to bring over. The roster is full of heros already, and Ryu's move set is well represented in PR already. Bison and Cammy (as a doll) would be interesting. Vega would work too. Akuma and Sagat are mechanically too similar to Ryu so there isn't much reason to port them instead of Ryu. Though if they did Akuma, instead of calling in his Zord he should go into Raging Demon.
