Max Verstappen explodes against Zak Brown and McLaren | F1 News
---------
Max Verstappen has lashed out against Zak Brown and the McLaren team, accusing Brown of attempting to destabilize his team and cause unnecessary problems.
These statements come after Zak Brown claimed that Red Bull could face a talent drain due to Adrian Newey's departure. According to Brown, several Red Bull employees have sent job applications to other Formula 1 teams.
In response, Verstappen stated: "Obviously, he wants to stir up trouble. For us, as a team, we can't do anything with comments like that. From his point of view, I understand, of course, because everyone is trying to attract our people, and that's completely normal in the world of Formula 1 as well," Verstappen said regarding Zak Brown's remarks.
On the other hand, Verstappen reiterated that he feels happy at Red Bull, despite the uncertainty about his future. There are rumors indicating that he could leave the Austrian team at the end of the season, with Mercedes being the main interested party. Additionally, he acknowledged that money is not something that can define his stay at one team or another.
"But I'm not very interested in those things either. I see the headlines, but I don't even click on them. In life, you can never guarantee everything. It's also possible that I won't wake up tomorrow morning, so in the end, you never know things 100% in life. Of course, many agreements are made, but in the end, it's also about everyone being happy with their work and feeling appreciated within the team. There are also many human aspects involved," concluded the Dutch driver.
