British gymnast Max Whitlock won his second Olympic gold medal of Rio 2016, beating his British team-mate Louis Smith and Alexander Naddour of the United States in the men's pommel horse. This awesome routine was what secured the famous gold for Max!

Amazing performance. The women's floor routines look much more spectacular to me, though. One reason for that is definitely that the guys don't perform to music, the other is that the women's tumbling passes contain much more elements. The guy's elements are more difficult as far as I can tell, but they aren't connected as much as with the women. Is that correct?

​@@ZuranthiumWell that isn't entirely true, most male gymnastics still do back-handsprings, and you'll see the occasional back or front whip. However, we don't dance to music.

that's a good question, i've looked it up and there have been numerous suggestions to make it so. however, the answer sadly tends to be that adding music would "take the masculinity out of it". yikes.

That's a very good questions, and think we should ditch the prejudices and don't come to conclusions. It may be a tradition. It may be the fact that no music is easier for men to concentrate, women may be better at this sport than men
