I'm so glad to find a good video with this blade shape. Everyone went with the dagger but this spoke to me. And i fully agree, this is more tanto than drop point.

They have them in silver body now. My silver "drop point" (Japanese tanto) is particularly sexy, though I'm experiencing some annoying premature body wear with it for some reason, like little scuffs on the ridges. I'm guessing that the dark gray one is hard coat anodized and the silver one is just "in the white" aluminum, which makes it fairly soft. By the way, the pocket clip is not reversible - there's no cutout for it on the left side of the butt of the handle. What I also found is that on both the dark gray and silver versions, the pocket clip ends up scuffing the body where it lands on it. You end up having to grip the knife pretty hard when deploying or retracting the blade, which pushes the clip into the body and also to the side, resulting in friction wear. Still a great knife and an amazing value though. In either drop/tanto or dagger, it's the sharpest OTF I've ever handled. Probably the one with the least blade play/rattle too and you gotta love the extra robustness of a dual locking lug design. Love how wide the blade is too.
