I've seen my fair share of anime. Re Zero is the only one that has left such an impact on me. Story, characters, ost, everything about this show is very well done. To see one of the most bone chilling songs remade like this is perfect. Truly the only moment in this show where I was even somewhat sacred. Well done on this and here's to future projects of whatever you wish.

ReZero is a cult classic that somehow made its way into mainstream media. It's a psychological horror that does its job of undermining and destroying each and every aspect of isekai anime, forcing watchers back to reality instead of providing an escape route, and showing the beauty of humanity's ugliness at the same time. Give it 10 episodes. If after that you're still not into it just leave it there. Everyone has a different taste in that sense. I also find some super popular animes to be average sometimes

@@MaxShirshovMusic I wouldn't say re:zero is super popular, it's rather exclusive due to the themes it covers. That said everyone has different tastes but on a technical level from the storytelling to the score to the animation to its world-building its all top-notch. I would honestly wager its a classic in the making, right up there with the likes of code geass and evangelion. One of the greatest strengths of re:zero is that it forces its viewers/readers to examine themselves for their own faults the medium covers. In doing so it greatly increases the interaction between the audience and itself. That said seeing a terrible quality via a medium and then being forced to recognize you yourself possess said quality via introspection isn't something some people are ok with. People generally consume media to be entertained, to relax, or as a method of escape, having the medium your consuming be critical of various character flaws you have definitely isn't something most casual anime viewers would expect, nor potentially appreciate. So in that way re:zero's greatest strength can either be an enthralling turn on or an off putter depending on the viewer.

It was one of my least favorite when I watch it for the first time, then become my top 3 after I realized how realistic the series was, And specially how relatable subaru is and season 1 was a masterpiece but season 2 nailed it was my favorite show this year but I respect your opinion
