I wanted a cheap fishing system without a lot of gear so I can take it when I go bicycle camping. I was going to get a 6 piece fly rod and a small fly reel system but the stuff weighs quite a bit more than I really wanted to take on a bike. Then I heard about Tenkara fishing, I did a bunch of research and found this MaxCatch system that got high reviews, then I saw your video, and that sealed the deal, so I just ordered it a couple of days ago, I haven't received it yet, and I can't go fishing/camping until winter is over anyways, but I'm looking forward to using it. I got the shorter zoom rod so it has less length when stashed then the longer versions, and it came as a starter pack so it has everything a person needs to start using it; I have flies I will add to the box that I will take with me on the bike. I heard the negatives for this rod that you gave, but none of it bothers me; for me, it's about taking something to do with me when I go bike camping, and if I catch a fish great, if not I'm ok with that too! Like I said, it's just something to do besides sitting at the campsite reading. I did a lot of research, but going camping on a bike things can and do break, so I didn't want something expensive that could break, nor something really cheap only to find my frustration level maxing out. According to all the reviews I've read about this rod system is the best for the money, and your video confirmed that. Thanks for making this video.
