Very helpful video. I just started using the speaker in my workshops, connected by audio cable, not bluetooth. I noticed that the first time I used the speaker, it picked up music that was not coming from my laptop. I believe the reset idea will help to ensure that no other device in the vicinity is trying to connect through my speaker. I couldn't find anywhere information on how to disable the bluetooth on the Flip 4.

Mine used to charge fully (all 5 lights aolid) and the power button would illuminate around the edge, letting me know "fully charged". Now the last light just blinks endlessly and when I unplug the speaker all 5 are lit. Weird.

These speakers should come with chargers that plug into the wall! So annoying. I charge mine by using the orange cord that it came with, plugged into my laptop, as my laptop is plugged in being charged. I make sure that the speaker is turned off, and once I plug it into my laptop, one of the tiny lights begin blinking, and it continues to blink until all of the tiny lights are full. I'm guessing that's the method the majority of people use.

You don’t have to turn it off, but I would suggest it so that you save battery life.

The LED lights will be on indicating charge level while you're using it. Good question. I'm too lazy to reach over on my desk and plug it in, but I don't think the light blinks while you're using it and it's still charging.

In the czech version of the user manual is a note about NOT using the fast chargers, as they might damage the device. However I can't find out, what can be then used, in regards of specification of power @ 5V. Typically a USB charger device (for mobile phones) provides between several hundreds mA to 2A. What JBL means by fast chargers? It just tells that charge time @ 5V 1A is 3.5hrs. Nothing more is mentioned :-) So, as I just found 1.3A 5V USB charger, I use that one. Thanks for the video ;)

Do you have it connected to multiple Bluetooth devices? That can cause some heartburn. Also, disconnect other Bluetooth devices from the device you're trying to play music from. If that resolves your problem, slowly reconnect devices to identify the one causing the problems with your JBL Flip 4.

I would plug it in after you unbox it and let it fully charge. From that point forward, I would let the battery drain and then charge it, unless it's partially charged and you know you'll need to get a full charge of use out of it -- then charge it.

The speaker sounds great but Im 64 and the paper instructions are written to small and like most electronic devises you have to figure things out yourself these days. To make things simple you can use an android phone recharge cable from your wall socket to this device and wait until all the lights stop blinking.

You may have to replace the battery. To do that you need to remove the fabric cover and unscrew one of the ends. Alternatively, I'd recommend trying another charging cable, power brick and outlet to make sure that's not where your problem is before you go down that road.
