I think a lot of people don't realize how powerful the new heroes are and how useful they will be on the battlefield. It is important to consider not only how much damage they do themselves, their stats are very good, they will live longer, especially if you use not a new artifact, but for example Fang of Ashkari for 60+ defense for a squad, bonus damage on enemy infantry, damage reduction for allied mage/archer squads. Infantry is the most important unit for victory, and this new unit will change the war

I believe that goresh and skogull are still slightly superior in the open field, but in bastion and gate I think that Mogro/danfell will be much stronger

Fun fact, the surround debuff does practically nothing, decreasing damage dealt by the legion and increasing the damage taken to the legion by 1% for each legion surrounding them. At max (6x surround) the target legion will be taking 6% more damage and dealing 6% less damage, which is barely anything considering you need 6 legions around it in order to get that debuff. In the end, total troop count almost always wins.

What do you mean barely does anything? You’re saying by 1% FOR EACH LEGION? So if 6 legions are applying 6% more each you’re implying that’s nothing? The way you have worded it means you’re saying each of the 6 legions is applying 6%, or are you saying it’s only 6% in total with all 6 legions? There is a difference. Also 6% even by itself is huge, anything is better than zero when increasing your dps output and dps taken right - it’s still good and even when swarmed by 5 legions of cav that is a lot of damage to one legion, no hero ever survives that even tanks suffer thats why people abuse the surrounded buff.

@@azza201 the target that is surrounded is getting debuffed by 6% total, not 6% each. I messaged support a while back about this because I wanted to know if the garrison talent that decreases the surround debuff by 75% is worth the 5 talent points, and it isn't. I also asked why the surround mechanic is so weak, because simply put it is way better to just have your troops in one legion and go head to head like that rather than divide your troops via multiple legions and take 100% counter attack for each legion. Yes the surround mechanic provides a bit of value, but it doesn't negate the fact that counter attack is just much better.

@@YTGunzCOD Absolutely 100%! I just got Danfel and will get Mogro by end of the SLE. They hit us with both towards end of Season of Strife 1! Given that we started the season with Mag/Zay introduction. For now i will run them with pure inf talent build and see what happens later in testing

They serve different purposes, open field Goresh skogul is superior no debate on that, mogro Danfel better for stopping units trying to hit the back line like other Goresh skogul for example so overall inf unit Goresh skogul is superior

Gunz can you retest please. Mogro/Denfel on the swarm test had 250k legions vs goresh skogual with 300k march. The numbers might be better. @YTGunzCOD
