My feels: This song is about the dark parts of life and dancing around that pain are clowns reminding us that life isn’t that serious. Life’s a bit of a dark circus. It’s gonna suck, you die, and then something better awaits us. Even though this hails from Boston….it has Seattle grunge as it’s offspring.

you’ll get there, it’s going to be alright at the end. You tried your best and the biggest thing, you didn’t give up. You might’ve thought about it when feelings of regret, guilt, shame take over your mind and you find yourself lost in a cloud of darkness every moment. People fade away, your ears become numb and so the conversations are lost in time. And then one day it’s just gone. It takes its time, you find comfort and make your peace to live with it. You slowly grew out of it, didn’t you? Well, that’s good. I hope that one day arrives sooner than you think. And you feel magic and the black and white vision you had is full of colors again. You understand the bittersweet yet poetic beauty of life now that you see the ugliness in it too. And you live with it. Live with it till the day you die because it’s a part of you. You got this, I know you do. Because no matter how ugly it gets, I want you to know that I believe in you, even though you might think I’m alone. I’ll believe in you because we’re all we’ve got and I’ll believe you because I know the work you do and the person you are. Go on with your brevity, believe in hope, understand faith and make your peace with it too. It’s going to be fine, don’t give up just yet. Keep going, please, for me. Don’t go, you have a lot of tricks to show the people , who haven’t realised it or even met you and they’ll believe in you too. Trust me. ~ Letters to self 2023
