Just got it and I manage a solid 3k DMG per game on it after around 80 games. Better than on most other tanks. I really enjoy it.

Max - along with the excellent mini-review of the IS-4, your pre-play setup explanation and in-play commentary was superb. I believe your ability to articulate your thinking in real-time play really sets you apart and above other Community Contributors and really helps relatively new to the game people such as myself. Just a thought, in helping people find your channel and distinguish between the masses, have you tried adding at the end of everyone of your video 'titles' (search) words such as "including guide and in-play commentary"? I guess limited space limits and I know you do add such occasionally, but today's video title is a case in point of you, possibly, hiding your extraordinarily helpful teaching skills and overall game knowledge. Thanks for all your work - very very much appreciated.

First of all, thank you for the kind words and I am glad you find it useful. The problem with including more in the title is that the algorithm doesn't like long titles, best thing to do is to include as many keywords in the description / tags.

the gun is a holdover from when is4 was t9 and that was the stock gun, dunno why they did not remove it

Yeap, back than WG tried to be at least a little historically accurate. As I recall, is-4 only had d-25t gun irl, and not the one that was later used on t-10

there were times when u could not research that gun on thier 9 before and u gotta grind it on thier X i remmeber those days grind with no gold ammo XD those were for gold at the time!

Is4 is low profile so enginw deck can be penned, not sure but i think it have crap like tiger panthers where you can pen pixel line above tracks

Honestly, dropping the top speed on IS-4 on FM7 might be sensible. But overall, I personally find FM7 and 8 on assault heavy tanks just shockingly bad. I feel like people feel obliged to take field mods just because the option exists, but so many of them are just terrible, man. Anyway, I have recently unlocked it, along with E5 and 50B, maybe someday soon I'll get my lazy arse to grind the credits for 'em. :D
