I love how Maxi is able to keep the majority of his blocks inbounds. Sometimes even directing them to teammates. It's nice to be able to gain the possession and get out in the fast break. Rather than just blocking into the 3rd row.

Man so many of these were when the score was tight, some late in games. Maxi is the real deal, totally a player who can be in a contenders playoff 8 man rotation.

He was always known in Germany as one of the biggest talents of the country. Unfortunately, he had to struggle a lot with injuries early in his career, otherwise I am sure that he could have been drafted in 2012 already... Happy to see that he is staying healthy since joining the Mavs!

Fun fact Maxi and my family are friends in Germany, he was one of the players my stepfather (Anton Gavel) played with in Munic (Bayern München). He is very chill and was known for insane blocking in Germany.
