Maxi Priest…what can we say? This song is timeless. So glad I was born in the 80’s
@jojottheprodigaldaughter11 ай бұрын
Agree, hlad I was around in the 80's also. The music from that Era will be around forever 😊
@diva70smusic8 ай бұрын
@jojottheprodigaldaughter This song was actually written and released by the British artist Cat Steven's in 1970. It was written after he broke up with the American model and actress Patti D'Arbanville. He also wrote the song " Lady D'Arbanville" about her as well. She is probably best known for the TV show "New York Undrcover" as Lt. Cooper. Cat Stevens was very popular in the early 70s. He changed his name to Yusef Islam in 1977 after he converted to Islam. His birth name was Steven Demetre Georgiou.

I sent this song to my daughter when she was following company and was becoming rebellious. She decided she wanted to take a break from school and wanted to have boyfriends. I was relentless as I knew she was way better than what she was becoming. Luckily she has changed and now we are best of friends and she is now becoming a doctor.

I remember I didn’t understand my boyfriend due to the constant fights, so I decided to leave the relationship, he just looked at me and told me, I could leave if I wanted to but, I should try and understand him cos he did love me but, if I want to leave he wishes me well. And he asked me to listen to this song every morning. After listening to it, I reconsidered my decision cos Nowhere cool❤❤❤❤❤

I love this great cover version of Cat Stevens' classic song, this is one of my most favourite covers, and one of the few ones which I preferred to the original version (nothing against Cat Stevens - or Yusuf, as he goes by, now). I just love the way that Maxi does it in his brilliant reggae style, and the way it sounds. I love the video, too! This takes me right back...

Lyrics Now that I've lost everything to you You say you want to start something new And it's breaking my heart you're leaving Baby I'm grieving But if you want to leave take good care Hope you find a lot of nice things to wear But then a lot of nice things turn bad Out there Oh baby baby it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh baby baby it's a wild world I'll always remember you like a child girl You know I've seen a lot of what the world can do And it's breaking my heart in two Because I never want to see you sad girl Don't be a bad girl But if you want to leave take good care Hope you find a lot of nice friends out there Just remember there's a lot of bad air Beware Oh baby baby it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh baby baby it's a wild world I'll always remember you like a child girl You know I've seen a lot of what the world can do And it's breaking my heart in two Because I never want to see you sad girl Don't be a bad girl But if you want to leave take good care Hope you find a lot of nice friends out there Just remember there's a lot of bad air Beware Oh baby baby it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh baby baby it's a wild world I'll always remember you like a child girl

This is probably the best version of this song, love the saxophone and just the whole vibe, and the voice. This is the version that comes to my mind when I think of this song, my favorite version.

My sister loved music and dancing, now she stays at home in her bedroom, mentally ill😢,I don't know how to help her
@AGuyWithAI6 ай бұрын
You may even already be doing this- but be listening and give her chances to explain. The answers sometimes can come from this. Sometimes communication is hard but really patient listening probably means learning something from her about her. I've been affected by such as this myself

More life more love and healing to your sister right now... by the power of light and love...keep playing her favorite songs even if it doesn't seem as if she is listening...just believe that the energy vibration is doing the work and keep thinking she is being healed...and step by step by the energy of your belief...she will be...I am believing with you...let's start now!! One life one love....Jamaica.

It's hard, but patience is the crazy part here. I go through this so I know. I'm just like your sister in this so I know. It's hard as the other person. But, we just deal with all of this differently. Bless you all ❤

One of the good things about reggae artists. They always seem to put out covers of old songs that are surprisingly better than the original. Just ask Big Mountain and UB40 :)
