Beautiful E-assist trike with valuable electric reverse. Remain safely seated, with no risk of falling, while backing up. A very REAL benefit! Whether an upright OR a recumbent, two rear wheels beneath rider would better serve the greatest majority. Most suspension is then located directly beneath rider. Personally own both tadpole planform and delta planform trikes for decades now. Cannot get either on or off my tadpole planform trikes for about 12 years now. Arthritis and balance issues here. We're all getting younger. Easiest access to trikes with two wheels in rear, directly from a wheelchair if needed. (Not personally there yet). REDUNDANT wheels to steer with (tadpole planform) not needed for exercising, touring, sightseeing, nature and wildlife watching. Redundant steer wheels also puts most suspension (tires) under rider's knees! HELLO?! Better, both ride and comfort, with most tires under rider's hips and torso. Tadpole planform IS vastly superior at highest speeds, (down hill and cornering). However, I have NEVER EVER seen much less would NEVER do, that type of go-cart riding! So who cares? Gary AKA: "Jason Stillwater" in recumbent world.

Thanks so much for this, Gary! I have Cerebral Palsy and I have never been able to ride a bicycle thanks to balance issues. I am buying a Van Raam Maxi. I live in the Netherlands now and I just can't pass up the opportunity to get around so much more easily.

A three-wheeled bike is indeed more stable than a two-wheeled bike. For many people with balance problems, for example, this is a great solution. ☺
