I'd like to see a cover for the solenoid in the battery box to protect the battery

We have one planned, but we felt we needed to get the tutorial out before we could test fit and tolerance!

So how would the wiring go if you kept the backstrap rev?

I'd like to see cage and flywheels for the Venom Pro.

Oops, i assumed a solenoid tutorial would have been full auto! Any chance we could get a full auto tutorial for this blaster or would an arduino chip not even fit?

Me watching you use flush cuts to cute wires 🫣

Is there a reason why flyback diodes aren't used very much in nerf modding?
@outofdarts2 ай бұрын
In our experience, while they are helpful, they aren't required. We've tested the Maxim with a solenoid rigorously, and haven't experienced any problems from adding the solenoid into the circuit.

Kind of let down not even a mention that the solenoid can do full auto or the possibility of adding your own select fire im glad i watched captain xavier explain solenoids in his video otherwise i honestly wouldn't have done this level of modding to achieve only a snappier semi
@outofdarts2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! This guide was specifically for the semi-auto option, which is one of the simpler ways to utilize the solenoid. We have plans to potentially offer a full-auto and/or a select fire kit, and when we have that product listed and ready, we will provide a tutorial.

One piece of advice -- avoid pressing wires into wire channels with something sharp like a screwdriver! You got away with it here because the channel isn't very tight, but it can be an annoying lesson to learn with tighter wire channels. (Oh so I hear from a friend ;-) ). Question: How do you make sure the battery doesn't interfere with the solenoid since you cut open most of the battery compartment? I have trouble packing LiPos in under the best of circumstances -- this one looks like a nightmare to get an alarm and decent-sized battery into and secure enough not to touch that solenoid.

There is enough room with smaller batteries that you can route the cables away from the solenoid. We do have a cover plate in the works that will cover the hole left behind from this mod, but we sold enough of these kits that we thought we should publish the mod guide as is.
