differentiation is it used for finding only min or max?..in this class you were used differentiation zero for finding both min and max values...i got ambiguity for both min or max values differentiation is enough..?

differentiation is used to calculate the Critical Points of a function by putting differentiation equals to zero. we have infinitely many functions that give us more than one solution( more than degree 2 polynomial) for putting differentiation equals to zero. These solutions called critical points are the points where the slope of function reverses. so critical points can be both max or min points at which value is max or minimum. for degree 2 polynomial we get only one point which is either maximum value point or minimum value point.

SIR You have to differetiate two times in order to get maxima OR minima condition you should define that too in the video. Its only when the 2nd order differentiation is >0 that is the condition of minima not alone the condition D=0. and vice versa for to get the maxima.
