why are you eleminiatng the resistor which is conected in series or parallel with short circuit ? current do flow in s.c ?then why ? m little confused !

+Shilpi Ravat Current always follow resistance path. Usually, it is considered to have zero resistance in a short circuit. So, when a resistor or bunch of resistors are connected in parallel across a short circuit, hypothetically there is no current through that resistor. Although the resistors are there, but due to short circuit they are considered in a way as if they do not exist. So, when short circuited I remove the resistors from the circuit. To understand concept of short circuit, I would like to suggest you following videos kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6emdptoqdKqodE kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKDVoqqPZ8Zrnas

is it possible to do it without following superposition principle because you eliminated each source and did it...can we see it solved by only following thevenin's theorem.thanks for the video
@EEAcademy20227 жыл бұрын
Hm, you can calculate Vth using mesh/supermesh/node/supernode/superposition/ source transformation whichever method seems easier to apply in that specific circuit..

hi sir/mam is t possible for you to solve it and put a pic or video by it.iam finding difficulty in solving it by Thevenin due to the current source. instep 2 of Thevenin when we need to do distribution of current. regards

why didn't you deactivate the 10v source? 2:57
@EEAcademy20228 жыл бұрын
+Mostafa Garana , here I have applied superposition principle. Which implies you have to keep one independent source at a time, and calculate the effect of each source and at last do their algebraic sum to get the total effect.

Can we use both superposition theorem with norton's theorem? Our DR never exposed this idea in class and I am scared to use it for my finals.

Do you want to reduce the entire circuit (after discarding RL) to Norton/Thevenin equivalent circuit?
@EEAcademy20226 жыл бұрын
I solved this problem in a different way here.. If you want, you can check that. It is comparatively easy kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioCWd3p5idamZ8k

Can we use source transformation to solve this problem?

Yes you can.... Just make sure , you get the final results correct
