The Texas 7 were a group of wild criminals who organized a prison escape like a scene out of "Ocean's Eleven" and went on a vicious crime spree. Check out today's video about this true crime gang of thieves that began exposing the judicial system, but how does the story end? Watch and find out!

Does life without parole make criminals more likely to pursue a violent escape with a killing spree since they've got nothing to lose? What's the alternative?

There should be jobs, and incentives within the system. Incentives such as game systems, computers, with monitoring of course, but things like that, as well as better living conditions, and food. All while actually contributing to either society or the prison they are in in some way. Even classes, or potential degrees, which I know is possible in some prisons today. This would give them something to strive for, and a reason to continue to behave well, with fear of losing everything, and being placed back where they were.

I agree 99 years for a robbery of $68 is so unreasonable and I feel like these trials were based too much off emotion. They’re still bad men ofc but think about it for a second if some of these men got lighter sentences for some of the small crimes they committed this would have never happened. You can’t expect to lock up a person for so many years and not expect them to do anything about it. Rest In Peace the father that died on Christmas I feel so bad for the family, the son especially.

Ur sure right and i can vouch for THAT! I spent my 20s majority anyways... Its no hotel or should i say serving "FEDERAL" time is pro ly way better! More money for each prisoner welfare... And the feds give the state money to incarcerate felons 37,000 to be exact and TEXAS dept of corrections or "TDCJ" which is Texas Dept of Criminal Justice... Only spends a fraction of the 37 thousand dollars id say around 5 thousand and the state keeps the rest ! What a shame!

Having lived in Texas and knowing people who worked for the prison system, I can tell you with absolute certainty Texas makes all of his money on 2 things#1 prisons, # 2 oil. after the feds took over the prison system because of corruption back in 2000, then governor of California, Gray Davis, visited Texas prisons. He was scheduled for a 3-day tour. He found the conditions to be so deplorable and the system so corrupt, he left after the first prison, within hours.
