for people who just started, the most helpful thing about the hideout at lower levels, is the med station. you can make even at level 1 a salewa, and it counts as if you found it in a raid. the cost for a salewa is dirt cheap (1 regular bandage, 1 splint, and a tablet of pain killers). so first of all, one of the earlier missions you can just accept and complete of therapist, and another more important thing is that after raid, if you pump out the med kits, you can just patch up and go straight back in.

level 2 you can make an 2 IFAks at once, it's more costly, but it does insanely help you from the fact that if you get it early, you won't have to trade sugar and sodium for one or buy an expensive one off the flee market.

What I like about your vid @Tweak (vs some other streamers who just want to be the first pumping out the "educational" videos while speedleveling this "hardore tactical" shooter) is your consideration on how this might still be valid during next wipes. Some upgrades really make little to no sense to most players during this wipe (like solar power and top tier bitcoin farm or stash 4), while others are quite useful on lower levels for crafting quest items and making some money on the side. EFT being totally volatile though, anything can and will be changed by the devs overnight, so nothing is written in stone. Good example is how the HP/EP perks are bugged or perks removed (and the wiki still not updated about this), many units are only worth for the crafting and for next level units.

I kind of wish the hideout was something you could completely customise. I know a lot of people wouldn't care at all, but I'd love it if you could choose where to place things, and then if there was options to farm cosmetics, like materials for painting the walls, tiling for floors, some random furniture or paintings or rugs or even potted plants just to make the place your own. It wouldn't be for everyone, but for those of us that love that kind of thing, being able to show off a really nicely designed hideout would be something to strive towards.

I am playing now for my 2nd wipe and all I have to upgrade now is to get L3 Bitcoin Farm and the Solar Power upgrade. Which requires L4 Peacekeeper, and I am locked behind reputation for him. His first and only quest I ever got from him wants me to get all these obscure (to me) meds and the best advice I got for finishing it was "Kill Sanitar". lol OK yeah right. But I do have almost the entire hideout upgrade having finally gotten Mechanic L3 which allowed me to unlock so many of the rest of the things it's crazy.

There was few things that i was kinda worried about and take me some time to do. Vents level 3 = needed strength level 3 it took some time to farm it but i guess that was the first real obstacle for me as an casual. Stash level 2 = holy mother of god this was something, i didn't know how much money would i need for this thing and when i saw it i almost feint out... 3,5m roubles yeah. So thank god for that intelligence center level 1 that have that small bonus to scav runs so i was able to farm it in few hours with switching between scav and pmc runs. Medstation level 3 = MEDX it costs about million and 250 thousand rubles + nacls and 150 000 additional money rip my wallet. Water Collector level 2... Jaeger level 2 i guess initial tasks are not that hard but that fooken usb drives took me some time. >... i guess even for newb like me this was a pretty challenging way how to spend some money and bonuses are fine i guess. This wipe i don't feel like i go for BitCoin lvl3 more like lvl1 but still have faster scav runs,recharges,no need to buy food and water just go away for few minutes and you are in pretty solid condition for next raid at the end it helps my economy a lot.

btw guys it takes between 22 and 25 days to get a complete return on the lvl3 bitcoin farm (current market values), so as long as theres lets say over a month left before a wipe its definitely worth it if you have the funds EDIT : This is based on receiving 3 a day, so u can calculate returns on a pro-rata basis (e.g if u only get 1 a day it will take like 72 days so probably not worth)

I kinda wish I could mark or ping in raid items that are needed for the hideout, I always forget what’s needed when I’m in raid and just wish I had a small list to compare. The easy solution is to write it down IRL but in game would keep things immersive and convenient

The hideout upgrade is mandatory for non Pay-to-Win players. The stash players start with if they do not buy the $100+ version of the game is tiny, and they need to get a lot of money to get that up to lvl 4. However, all the streamers that have the top tier version of the game don't have that problem, or even see it.

I think if you have a standard account its well worth it to maximize your stash, but other than that I think if you compared how much time and money you need to max the hideout it cacels out the benefit at least in the short run. Once wipes are no more (if that happens at all) yes it will give you something to do and will benefit you in the long run.

Texho and tech light are the best if you don't have keys I wouldn't even bother with computers. I find 1-2 per raid there usually if I can get there first. If you have keys then interchange has some great spawns

Maxing out your hide out is worth it for endgame players and even now helps out with getting loads of free bitcoins and Scavs that you give moonshine so it awesome and ive had decent returns from doing so. However the only problem now is that after a month the economy is starting to sink so i feel like other players will have a lot more difficulty making money compared to OG's that have been making the market work.

I can quickly answer this question. Yes of course its worth it !!! XP boost through the Libary. There is many stuff to craft which you can sell or keep. So for the beginners its not really worth it but you should work on getting it maxed out. For streamers, I know its not soooo interesting but for the players who want to increase there farming and overall efficienty its great !

Having to buy stuff from flea market is not a money sink. It just goes to another player. The only money leaving the game is the flea market fee.

And since its new I see no purpose to grind it out yet. Rather do it next wipe when theres a lot more changes and info about it. I've been giving a friend of mine all the expensive loot we find so he can upgrade his hideout to see how everything works. I only had the medstation for the cheap IFAKS (nerfed). And the shooting range ofcourse.

Do you need the workbench to edit weapon pre sets? I'm a console player switching to pc and tarkov will be my main game and i need to know cause my plans for practicing the controls and how to loot fast I'll be doing in the offline mode so i plan on selling all the garbage in my standard account and then building a few 100k budget guns so when I'm used to the game i can go into my first actual raid with the best chance of success despite being new and so the weapon pre-sets will be invaluable to building good guns

It took me one day to upgrade from standard to EOD. Standard size stashes are way to small, and EOD still seems small. At level 15, I can't afford a 250k loadout every raid like my level 45+ friends who have maxed out bitcoin farms and bitcoin is selling for 600k+. Which is fine, I didn't mind paying the money. I love the game. I just hoard armor, kits and guns and can't get the cases right now. Everyone I have played with has said the same thing. After initially playing the game, they just ended up with literally no room. I am slowly getting cases. I have a med case, lucky scav junkbox and an ammo box. I do a lot of scav runs. Way more than I do raids. Especially near the end of this wipe because most of my friends don't even play anymore. They got bored and they only log in to get their bitcoins and sell them. So, just a humble opinion from a new player. Scav runs are essential and if they didn't exist, the game would be probably unplayable for most and a lot of the hideout is worth upgrading. Not all, but most of it. Intelligence center is like the hardest thing to upgrade but worth it because it drops the scav timer. By the time I get done selling all the crap I picked up in a scav run now, the 15 minutes is up. Edit* I wanted to add that at the beginning of this current wipe, if you started out again and got your bitcoin farm maxed, it is paying off much more than what you invested in it because of the BTC price increase. BTC rose so much they had to patch the fuc$*ng game to try and decrease how OP the BTC farm is.

Yeah but it also stops the bitcoin mining. Unfortunately you can't take out the airfilters at any point in time. They are locked in there as soon as you put them in.

A couple of questions.... as a hardcore casual. I play everyday. 1.) Do I have to run the generators all of the time to get the healing/hydration perks? Does it run even when you're not playing? I just assume everyone just heals/hydrates with items... Seems pointless. 2.) Is there an efficient way to make money off of the other items you can in the hideout, other than bitcoins? I make most of my money from selling fuel (50k+) and parts. It seems like that is more effective than waiting for a bitcoin or something... I know its personal preference, but I wonder if theres a better way for a mid-tier player to make money easily with the hideout. I cant find a good reason to upgrade the hideout other than the skill perks which seem like the people who can play super hardcore are going to get the best perks, when the low level guys get jack...

The generator runs when you're not playing. So make sure to turn it off if you're not doing anything. The Generator does not impact heal, hydration and energy recovery when on or off. However, the generator does impact the time it takes to craft or farm stuff. If the generator is off or has no fuel then crafting times will be severely reduced. In the case of the bitcoin farm, you won't be able to farm anything at all until it's back on again. A more efficent way to make money is to build the booze generator, which allows you to make a "Fierce Hatchling" moonshine every 3 hours for 1 purified water and 2 sugar. This currently sells on the market for 230-250k roubles.

this might be due to the new update. But u dont rly sell your Bitcoins on the Flea market. they go for 120k - the fee of course. And u get 126k for vendoring it straight to Thepharmasist lady. and i might add. If u are going to play this game for long periods. lets say this is your CS replacement so it will be your main game for atleast the 3-5 next years. U wanna get EVERYTHING in your hideout. simple as that. U play little, dont bother. You play alot, go for it

it's all worth it. especially now. things you craft are found in raid. so you can sell them on the flea market. scav box is like free raids without you having to go out on raids. and the shit you get isn't bad at all. and it generates money. the dude with a chromosome too many in this video calls it a money sink. but he doesn't know left from right. i'm trying to call him the R word but youtube does not like that word.

@@darkracer1252 Yeah I posted that during the beginning of my first wipe. In that one I ended up upgrading it enough to use the firing range and to allow for gun modding/presets but that's it. This wipe I'm upgrading it a bit more because crafting things has become more important IMO, esp due to FIR. I still suck at the game (sadly enough) but yeah I think it's worth it. I'll never get to the bitcoin setup (I honestly wish they wouldn't have added such a thing but whatever) but I'll hopefully have it upgraded somewhat. I'm only level 14 still (fail).

@@clamum hey i'm only lvl 17 atm. upgraded everything as far as it will let me. i need to become lvl 22 to level up my traders so i can level up the hideout further. still don't have my bitcoin farm either.

@@darkracer1252 Gotcha. Yeah I see these level 40+ guys and I'm like fml lol. I play an hour or two almost every day too hahaha. Although lately I've been getting a little tired of getting wasted so been playing a bit less. I'm working on my aim by playing a couple offline raids before hand, cause it's just atrocious. I don't think I'll even get L3 traders. For sure I won't get L3 Jaeger and Peacekeeper. Even L2 Peacekeeper is expensive enough (just exchanging rubles for $), and Jaeger hardly purchases anything anymore but someone told me recently you can buy defibs from FM and resell to him for about the same price, to level him.

@@clamum honestly i don't pay attention to that at all. you spend enoegh with the traders to get that minimum money up way before you ever reach that the level you need to be. selling to the traders basicly anything that doesn't sell for 10k or more on the flea market, i sell to the traders. then ontop of that you need to buy ammo or armor parts. and you automaticly get there without even trying. there are even tricks. like buying any adar on the flea market that sells for less then 22k. disassemble the thing and sell it all back to mechanic. costs nothing and in some cases even nets a profit of a few roubles.

I would argue partially that the water station and the nutrition station are actual hindrances.. Since the XP it regenerates doesn't go towards your PMC level.. It's better to not have those at all and force yourself to eat and drink in raid. The scav box is mostly worthless.. So the air filter and *some* of the crafts are useful. The problem is to get to those crafts like you said you have to upgrade your entire hideout across the board.

Hehe i went full on tryhard and max my hideout and got all 50 GPU around 50k each and now they're like 180k to 230k and for me was super worth and i'm making my money back and more (best example is that i got 3 factory exit keys in 3 different occasions from the 6000 ruble scav box )

The Hideout will become more and more worth the time and investment in upcoming patches, as your character will become susceptible to diseases, as well as managing your character's blood pressure, on top of other things that only serve to strengthen the survival aspect of the game. Tarkov is still in a pretty arcade-y point in its development, but hooooo MAMA is it gonna get tough, so the Hideout will ABSOLUTELY be worth it then.

I think they need to tweak some stuff in the hideout kappa But ye nice guide like i completly forgot about the Hideout to be honest i know its preety good and efficient because of its positive effects and passive things its cool but im like level 36 now and i dont think i really needed it "that" much i mean ofc maybe i couldve got some more and faster healing and more meds ye i get it but dunno i kinda didnt even involve the hideout into my play sessions like im doing my quests and thats it. What they definetly should do is make it more "important" i know its their first iteration of the hideout and it will definetly get more important in the future but for now i dont think i really needed it. If i do all the quests and stuff then i think im gonna try to upgrade it

for me personally its not at all worth it the only use is the stash upgrade(I don't have eod) I make more money in 1 scav run to interchange than I would waiting to max this place out. I also liked the shooting range then realized I don't like it for testing anything but recoil but when I test guns I prefer to know how they'll respond to raiders since those can be the hardest things to fight so its not as good as id like it to be
