This is my first full-length personal album since Golestan in 2018. I know a lot of you have come to know my music through Spiritfarer’s OST and I think this release will strike a chord with those who enjoy the calmer, more introspective side of my music. Writing this album for me was about adapting and accepting change in challenging phases of life. About embracing (and sometimes intently choosing to reject) new realities in transformational times, from a societal or personal perspective. Most of these songs were recorded during the pandemic. Like a lot of us, I was in a very unsettled state of mind that forced me to nurture some of my most natural inclinations. I realized how important calm, quiet, immersion in nature (sounds captured in forests were added to the recordings) and introspection were in my life, especially in times of incessant background noise. But also how nothing compares to the in-person relationships we have with our loved ones no matter how complicated of a journey nurturing those relationships can sometimes be. I have to be honest with who I am and there are many ways in which our society has evolved that do not bring the best out of me. My mind thrives in environments where my attention is not constantly solicited by new information, content and the hectic distraction inducing nature of algorithmic media, social or other. I have to learn to better balance responsible awareness and engagement with personal well-being. This all led me to change my process, to compose with a different intent. I tried capturing the beauty of vulnerability and imperfection in the way instruments were chosen, recorded and played, to do as many steps of the composing process away from a computer screen when possible. Thank you to all the amazing musicians (mentioned in the description) that have allowed me to bring the music to life. I had planned on including half a dozen more songs in this album, but I felt they belonged to another emotional world. I realized this was because of one reason, they had been written after the birth of my daughter. I decided to include those songs on another album which will be released later this year. For now, enjoy "In The Silence I Can Finally Hear"!

As someone whose whole adolescence was spent with a phone in my hand, I relate so much to this. Getting back to living in what's around me is difficult, but definitely rewarding and long needed. Thank you for the album! And congratulations on the birth of your daughter! :)

i too had come from spiritfarer and your musical score from the game is by far the only one that really managed to get a hold of me and shake me to my core (song of growth and meteoroids are tracks that had literally hard reset my brain when i first heard them) so im ecstatic to be able to listen to your new original album and im glad to read and listen to your journey of growth and honesty and change. just one song in and already i know this album will be another banger that i can listen to when i take a walk through the forest next time. max, you are phenomenal at what you do and i hope that everyone, who listens to this album, will feel the freedom and release the same way i do. keep going!

I just wanted to say I absolutely love this album. I listen to this song at least once a week. It is so calming, uplifting, and relaxing. I am glad your talent produced this, because it is a gift to my ears. I absolutely love your style of music, especially in Spirit Farer. I hope one day this song and others get the recognition they truly deserve.

I'm here again, after listening to Spiritfarer's OST album fifteen thousand times over the last year. Just the title of your album touched me deeply. Beautiful work Max! Thank you very much for sharing your talent. And congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of your daughter! The birth of a child is a symphony of emotions, very well represented in this album.

I just listened to the whole album. This is so beautiful. Made me enjoy and appreciate the morning silence just before my baby woke up. Your compositions have a very distinctive way of touching the soul. Thank you, Max! 🙏🏼
