I live in the south of Sweden. I have yet to step out of my countries borders, but yet this music speaks to me. It is beautiful, Max.

Max, it baffles me that your music hasn't reached more souls yet. Huge fan.

Late to finding your music but wow I'm so glad I have! Better late than never. There is something so mystical and spiritual (not in the woo woo sense) to your music. I've noticed you include some sort of talking or singing or chanting or praying in some of your songs. What is that in the background if I may ask?

The man you hear singing at the beginning of Fal and Golestan is the father of a dear friend who I met in Iran in 2014. There was a particular Hafez poem that I discovered while traveling in the country that to me, embodied a very important quality of Iranian culture and society. I asked my friend's father if I could record him reading that poem, to my surprise he instead started singing the verses so beautifully, I decided I needed to include that improvisation as a central part of the album. Other found sounds you hear throughout the rest of the album where recorded during my travels, in various parts of the country. A few were recorded in Central Asia and Turkey.

Your work is amazing! While your work on Sundered and Jotun is equally as good, it makes me sad that your other stuff is practically ignored. I love this album!
