Dive lights only perform well underwater to maintain lower temps. On land however you start stepping down pretty fast especially in hot weather. Be a nice winter hiking light.

I have the wurkkos TD03. I really like it. It's the best EDC and self-defense type light ive found. Its bright enough to do anything i need. It so bright and easy to control. I really like the button switch setup What really makes it for me was the price. It was 40% off so it was like $15 to $20. On Amazon

That built in charging for 18650 wont be nice for the smaller 18350, best case scenario it will kill the battery sooner. Hd10 with built in charging for 14500 is a king imho. Nice edc and headlamp, with aux leds and anduril. Also some hd11 comes with floppy heads…

I bought the HD10 when it was on sale (20 with a battery) which it usually goes on just wait a bit and I can say it’s a great little light with a magnetic tale cap, ip68, and type c it’s better than most lights. I also have the ts10 and I like the HD10 way more it doesn’t get nearly as hot or fast on turbo as well as all the other stuff I mentioned. Look if you wanna small good flashlight that is a good price and you don’t mind that it doesn’t take AA this is a fantastic option. P.S. you can just buy a better battery with more mah and you’ll be fine it’s not like your using this for long period of time it’s for good power and convenience.

I was hoping the Anduril 2 equipped, quad emitter TS26 would be on the list of "new flashlights", but I guess the HD11 will do for the time being. 🔦🤔

Can you check out the pelican flashlights? I carry the 2370 every single day and love it. Not many people even think about pelican flashlights and they are amazing. I switched from an LED mini mag a few years ago to the 2370. They have a bunch of different types for everyone, and they even have rechargeable ones as well. I intentionally went for the replaceable AA one, because I use my light so much at work I can't be out due to needing a recharge.

Would've been great to see a weight on the HD10 vs larger 18650 battery powered lights (right angle or straight) just to see if its worth it for those of us with serious size and weight constraints. The smaller battery has lots of disadvantages, but size and weight is the one advantage you could have explained a little more.

The fc11 in 4k is probably my favorite simple, all around general use flashlight that I own. The ts22 other than the fact it gets hot fast in high mode as well as the crappy lock out feature is a pretty good 21700 option, given these two shortcomings it's still a pretty good light. The moonlight is too bright as well, but there is probably a reason they did this. The ts10 is an awesome little light in 4k. It will get hot fast but it's a small pocket light so mostly use on mid - low, high only used in short bursts here and there. I use low more than anything and 4k is nice for that. The ts30s pro is a good little spotter, steps down and all that but for checking something out at mid range it works great and is pocketable. One thing that bothers me is seeing people wanting a battery that plugs in since they have done this on a lot of other lights and then you can't use a flat top. Just get a charger if you are going to go with a light that doesn't have onboard. Get a charger anyway and you can charge at different amps you select, discharge, use batteries as powerbank, and test batteries together you use as a group in a flashlight. Just get the charger man, I have been pretty happy with my old XTAR which is years... and years old. Newer Vapcell S4 Plus V3 is working well for me. I have no interest in any of these lights except the HD10. Diving lights usually depend on water to cool them and that other twisty looks kinda janky. One thing I would like to see Wurkkos make is a long throw light to compete with the hand held spotlight bunch such as Acebeam K75 v2. Make it take 21700, three to a carrier, make an available tube giving the option of using three or six, and please just give this thing deeper cooling fins where it matters and not just looks cool. Tap that sucker for a carrying handle balance depending on which tube you use and it would sell out. Smooth ramping would be icing on the cake.

I have the TS 10 and its my work edc, I bought a 4 pack of 14500s. It takes a month to go through all 4 before throwing them in the charger. I was leery about using a 14500 as my main light battery but those fears have been negated after constant use for more than a year. I'm a contractor and use my flashlight all the time. That said, for long use (1 hour or more) I usually switch to a headlamp that will be recharged after use. I'll be grabbing the HD10. Going to grab the diver light for my parents (in their 70's) with tht switch i can finally get them a light as good as some of mine without them worrying about Anduril, or depressing a tail switch. That clip on the HD11 would preclude me from using it as work edc though it looks like a great light. I have a hard enough time with the clips themselves hanging up on things besides a mile of flashlight hanging out. So many great lights are immediately ignored by me when I see the clip an inch or more down the light.

How does the DL02 cope with heat as a non-diving light? I assume a diving flashlight uses water arround it as a heat dissipating element...
@maxlvledc4 ай бұрын
Very well, it has extra thick aluminum walls which distributes heat well

@maxlvledc4 ай бұрын
Oh..your going to love the coast ones I'm looking at later in the week
@OddBall19974 ай бұрын
Couple thoughts. (Ok, more like gripes) The dive light is a lithium pushing 3k lumen heat out the sides... I don't have one to see for myself so I could be wrong, but from those specs alone I'd never give that light to a noob due to major safety concerns, nevermind as an emergency light. A couple i3Ts (shoot, even i3E) and a pack of Eneloops is all most people need for a safe, emergency, noob proof (hopefully) light. Also, there's a reason it's not USB charging... Flappy doodles are not amazing at water resistance and this is a dive light. Personally, I'd love to tear out the USB-C port on my TS11. I love the light to death but that port drives me crazy. Sorry to blow up here, but the USB-C wave is bugging the daylights out of me. I have a $10 XTAR charger that I trust more than the TS11 to properly charge. (That reminds me, I was needing to charge my lights tonight)

I probably didn't explain it well. I wasn't suggesting a usbc port on the light. They make 21700 batteries with the port built into them.
@OddBall19974 ай бұрын
@@maxlvledc Gotcha! For that type of light I can see where a port on the battery could help with charging in the field.

Can you post the part number to the 18350 tube and battery?! I just bought an HD11. Love the smaller version
Please don't promote the HD11. Other 2 lights are great but the HD11 will disappoint buyers. It's a neat idea, but the implementation is GARBAGE. The tints on the LEDs are totally mismatched, the flood channel doesn't actually flood much, the red LEDs are... Orange? Or who knows. The swivel head gets loose after a while (read up on the many reports) and the UI is trash (no memory, weird click timings). Don't make people waste money on it.
@maxlvledc4 ай бұрын
The UI I like funny enough. Good to know about the head.

No light takes PHD to operate. If you refer to Anduril, it is very simple to operate. Click to turn on, click to turn off, hold to change output. That's all.
@maxlvledc3 ай бұрын
I think your just smarter than me lol. I find Anduril 2.0 quite complicated.
@deltawing93 ай бұрын
@@maxlvledc Anduril 2 is just possibility to adjust the light to your need. You can ask someone it is troublesome to you. Once set (or just left as it is) the actual use is pretty easy and intuitive. Simply don't use what you don't want to. This is why there are so many clicks needed for setting up so that in normal use you never get lost.
