I honestly get the impression that Warren isn't an arrogant guy. I trained Muay Thai in Japan and practically all the trainers were from Thailand, and all of the Thai fighters would "showboat" in their typical Thai fashion. But to them, "showboating" wasn't a sign of arrogance at all, it was really an extremely effective form of psychological warfare and a demonstration of a total command of the ring, the opponent, the crowd, and the judges. Warren took a page out of the Muay Thai psychology manual and reversed the psych warfare ringmanship in his favor, and I've literally never seen that done by an American fighter to a pro level Thai fighter before, AND I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS POSSIBLE TO FORCE A PRO LEVEL THAI FIGHTER TO GAS OUT HAHAHAHA, especially that quickly. Even the crowd in Thailand helps with the psych warfare and they yell "oooweeee" every time the guy connects with you. The way to beat a Muay Thai fighter is to be extremely relaxed and use incredibly fast sudden bursts of speed and power to always keep him guessing and worried about your next move, always look and feel relaxed and under complete control, never let them control the tempo, AND NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, NEVER EVER LET THEM USE THEIR PSYCH WARFARE ON YOU OR THEY WILL DEVASTATE AND HUMILIATE YOU. My goal was to make sure I put a worried and confused look on the guy's face, but with the Thai guys I NEVER WENT SO FAR AS TO TOTALLY REVERSE THE PSYCH WARFARE IN MY FAVOR LIKE WARREN DID. It's honestly just not in my personality. And not to overly generalize, but you just can't help but to respect Thai fighters when you encounter them. The skill, tradition, and psych warfare is just too impressive, even when you're able to beat them, even when you're able to dominate them, you still can't help but to respect them and learn from them.
@irvinjaycarranza68287 жыл бұрын
us fighter is on fire!,smooth boxing as well
@msrlapin995 жыл бұрын
I'm going to be really generous and assume that Warren was showboating at the end so that he could demonstrate to the judges that he had total ring generalship and didn't need to end the fight via concussing or injuring his opponent. Near the end Klarob had zero defense and no gas in the tank; it wouldn't have been hard to land a devastating KO.
@omarireid18143 жыл бұрын
No, he was show boating cos the other guy was throwing constant spinning elbows and back fists.

@r.b.46117 жыл бұрын
He looks bigger because he has larger muscles and very low body fat, where as the Thai hasn't done much muscle building training and has a higher bodyfat. So the Thai probably has a bigger frame actually. Unless Warren really did weigh in heavier.

Thai fighter looked good in the first round, but then it was obvious that the American's conditioning was way better. Kind of embarrassing if you are from the country of Thai and you are not properly conditioned, especially since the American had to fly into the country and get acclimated to the tropical weather.

The art of one on one combat has been in Thailand for many centuries. Thai fighters are known to be powerful kickers. Their boxing skills, however, may need improvement when faced with a well trained American fighter. A Thai fighter who can use both his hands and feet effectively will be hard to beat.
