Hey there bud, I am a huge RC guy been in it for well over 30 plus years, And have always been nitro then got into more of the gas engines since the technology has grown so much in large scale, but I always been a big fan of large scales trucks cars planes and a few helis, I have built several custom 1 off builds but found now doing a complete 1 off custom large 1./5th or 1/4 scale gas truck or buggy is not really worth the time when you add all the hours in and money to machine parts and so adds up to way to much, because They have a lot of great stuff on the market now where you can buy the parts you want that costed a lot in $ and time before, So to make any sort of a profit or break even let alone to build from buying different parts from all over and designing and making things work is far cheaper now then before all the good stuff has been coming out, Was really interested in that chassis you are running,is it a kit or a rolling chassis and just add your motor and electronics to it, I am way up in Northern Canada and have been searching the web to try and find what you are running, If you would not mind sharing a bit of info in between to large scale RC speed junkies like ourselves, would really like to no what that chassis is and if it comes in some sort of kit from some 1, It would be greatly appriciated because I have all the eletronics and motor and such just raring to go but I been looking for that something special to put all that power I have ready to go into a build for a surprise gift for my son who is also big into the sport, But I want to do something really special for him since he had to care for me over the past 2 years while I was in the hospital trying to fight a cancer I have, So yea that is why I am going all out on a build for a fantastic son who I cannot thank enough for everything he had to do for me, Hope to hear back from you soon, Bear L.

Bear Lambert hi mate. Hope your recovery is going well. This is just a losi 5t. Std chassis. I do now run the rcmax proam chassis which is a 3 piece and beautiful. I know you are in Canada but check out the rcmax web page, rcmodelz also. There are some cheaper , decent quality kits out there. These big bore engines though are next level money wise... and hard to recommend getting into unless you are really committed. My 50cc is an alx. There are also rcmax engines of course. Good luck!👍
@bearlambert28065 жыл бұрын
@@RCmaxxUK Thanks for the reply, I would be interested in checking out that rcmax roam 3 piece chassis, As for recommending a 50cc motor well that is nothing I am well beyond that in my collection and all my gas motors, I have some super charged and even testing 1 a bit bigger then 50 cc with a turbo on it, I get a lot of motors from OBR, they make a hell of a motor custom to you and is tuned and reliable and you no is going to bring the bite with the growl they have, If i could sell all I have into RC I could probably buy myself a real race team, I think you might of misunderstood me in my comment, I have been into the large and giant scale RC stuff for well over 30 plus years, I ended up with a few giant scale planes and 1 jet and 2 big helicopters from debts others owed me that could not pay there bills, Like I said I already have a huge monster motor and electronics putting out a lot of power but just been having troubles finding a chassis to put into until I came across your vid and said that is the beast I need to put power into and give to my son as a surprise and kick ass and blow the doors of the completion by a long shot, Hope to stay in contact with you, because over where you are use have access it seems to a lot more large scale gas RC then we do, Mind you there is a big market here looking for it and I been doing my best building 1 off customs or kits as I am able to find them, Can you send me a link to that chassis you are using, because when I search it nothing comes up, Thanks again mate and hope to hear back soon, Bear.
@RCmaxxUK5 жыл бұрын
@@bearlambert2806 ill get a link. check your spam comments as i think most link comments end up there. not trying to sound off... but OBR is nowhere near the kind of power these billet reed case 40-85 cc engines from rcmax and ALX are mate. look them up..... unless you are doing something very special to boost power ( which it sounds like you are ) ;)

@@RCmaxxUK Oh by no means did I say they were the best by far, I just happened to get 2 of there biggest motors they make with the pipes on both from a good friend of mine that deals with them a lot and he does not like there motors either so he gave me the pair for free, And I sent them to a top notch guy that worked on a lot of my ski-doo rotax racing engines , and I sent them to him to do his magic on them and he changed the heads and found better and bigger carbs to match the heads he put on and the piston and rings then ported and polished them both for me, He dynoed them for me I can find the stats for you if u like because I cannot recall off hand what they are putting out, but it is a hell of a lot more then OBR started and sent out, And he also has a super charger he developed to put on them and almost has fuel injection finished up for a 4 stroke, but that isn't what I was intending on a motor to use, I purchased an ALX 48 and it is just dying to come out to scream, and been really looking at the ALX 71 that 1 has caught my eye for a while now and seeing some trucks and cars just ripping it up with them was insane and had me sold right there and cannot wait to find something I like that I would want to put ir into, sorry my freind for the confusion, that is why it is so hard sometimes to type what you are trying to say or get across rather then speaking in person, And of course you sound just like myself if there is any way to get anything extra out of it I sure will be doing it, Speed is like an addictive drug once it bites you that is it, and for me it started young racing moto cross and also racing endurance type courses with quads, then when I was 18 years old I got the job of a lifetime, I got to do my apprenticeship which is a good fiend of mine now but I did my term in a drag racing shop and after I was certified he kept me on for about another 10 years until things just started dying out and there was not the people like way back then looking to build up there motors and drag race any more.

How do you like crazy stu's filter? The super 50 is a beast of a motor I was going to buy the super 50 I could'nt fit it in my budget money wise I'm in the USA if I could've kept the cost under$1,800 I would have owned a ALX Super 50 so to make a long story short I ended up with the Rcmax 46 once I took a look at the vids of the super 50 the rcmax 46 seamed a little safer on the drive train but with these big bore beast nothing is safe!!!! Excellent choice of motor and color bro what petrol grade our you using? I think in the near future I will have to upgrade my drive train and all my drive cups also my diff cases to the 7075 diff cases but I will see how all this plays out once my engine arrives until then I'll watch vids on your super 50 and learn👍👍
@RCmaxxUK6 жыл бұрын
Hi mate... The filter seems good... but I did need to cut the side of my cage to get it to fit and its still tight! I do love the look of my alx and i am hoping 50cc is a good spot for power without destroying the drive train constantly!... we will see. I am sure you will love your 46! rcmax engines are also beautiful! petrol is std 95 pump. I have standard drive train. just alloy rear cup in the area alloy rear housing and a centre locker. alx own pinion and a blackbone spur gear. A mate runs an rcmax46 and we hope to drag them... same gearing to compare the motors at some point for a laugh ;) I'm learning myself mate. Any questions just ask.

Awesome Setup Man!! Looks Sicks! Hey 2 questions for ya. Where did you get that Air Filter Setup? And do you think the Zip ties work? Thanks! USA HERE!
@RCmaxxUK6 жыл бұрын
I mate! ;) the air filter setup came with the engine , along with the pipe. its a 'crazy stu' setup i guess, or very similar. So far, yes the zip ties are working... but i have lost a few rears due to them rubbing on the hub, so i will be using a small extender to offset the rear wheels slightly. should sort it ;)

@RCmaxxUK6 жыл бұрын
Majid Akbar hi mate. They seem to yes.... I need to run it more... and harder to check it works. A mate tried zip ties on big digger tyres on his baja 71 alx. The ties survived but the tyres were destroyed quickly. I think on my 4wd 50cc they will work. 🤞🏽
