I would like to know how you unfold the liftgate without breaking your back. I do not see a way to use proper lifting mechanics to do so and my back is paying the price after only 4 days. Your back is twisted and you are leaning over the support chain while unfolding the second half with the full weight away from you which strains your back even more. I encouraged my employer to buy a different lift gate (RC Railift) but well this one was probably cheaper than the one with diamond plate and hydraulic opening and closing. I wonder how much back injuries cost these days?

You can but the lift gate will hit the dock first. I generally try to stop the truck a few inches from the dock to allow for the lift gate to lower and of course not to slam it into the dock.
