Great job on the rock scape, you nailed it! I love how the fish can swim in and out, but you also have major real estate for your corals. I just subscribed, you also have the best selection of fish. I hope you feel better.

Can you add battery back up like the ice cap gyre?
@ReefSYS3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for a great review. I like you have had them all. But not a gyre. Wanted 2 mo 40s for my new reef but the money is just too hard to spend. I went with jebao slw-20 (Nero knockoff) I really like them, but not enough flow for my needs. I’m torn between the slw-30 and the sdw16.. think I may have to give the 2 sdw16 a go. Feel like it’s the closest to the mp-40 €100.. why not.. 👍 anyway you put me off the gyre and I’m thankful for your opinion.

I have the first maxspect gyre 150 in a red sea 250 and it does makes amazing and strong waves. So this is not about the shape of the flow, but probably about your settings. I set the smallest duration of the wave to make then stronger here.

Hello! Would you mind sharing what max intensity you run your 360x at and approx. how high from the water line they are? I'm having trouble with my corals and I think my light is either too intense or too close to the water. Cheers!
@nathanqwerty13 жыл бұрын
hi, i run mine at 8 inches off water line, 13 hour light cycle with 8 hour max intensity ramping either side, run 100% colour on max intensity and 20% colour on the ramp times. do you have the narrow reflectors? they make a massive difference as you get 3x more light intensity from them.

@Buffy_Slayer3 жыл бұрын
how is the 4k so far ? I am thinking to get it for my 50 Gallon tank I am not sure if i can set 20% or is it still too strong for it .
@richishere824 ай бұрын
How the hell do you run it on 100%. I have two and van only run it on 10 and 20% in a 4 foot tank . If i put in on 0 tp 100 its way to much
@Nicolaj893 жыл бұрын
Have you considered mounting it on the back glass instead?
@nathanqwerty13 жыл бұрын
No as would be too much flow at the front and would kick sand up

Nathan, do you know whether the impeller can be removed for cleaning?
@nathanqwerty1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, you can take the blades out to clean but you can’t take the impeller out to clean! Absolutely crap pumps, don’t waste your money
@andrefaria7284 Жыл бұрын
@@nathanqwerty1 Nathan, Maxspect replied with "you should be able to, please follow the video and try harder?"... anyway, someone in a group shared a video showing how to do it. You need to use a screwdriver to remove the plastic rotor bushings.

@tylerjaax49173 жыл бұрын
If you buy the reverse propellor for one side of the pump, then the reverse will work as you would like it to. With the stock propellors, it won’t be a true reverse, just turbulent flow moving back into the pump guard.

Copperband is really happy eating like a pig on everything i put in and is really healthy so reckon he will be fine and do really well, as for too many fish i have to disagree as my nitrates and phosphates are hardly detectable, all fish are really happy and get on with each other very well, such a peaceful reef.
