Algae prefers the red, purple and green end of the spectrum. Might be worth knocking those colours down a little.

The app connection is the worst I've ever seen. If it doesn't find yours immediately on the 2.4ghz network, it's virtually impossible to connect. And the manual and KZbin videos Maxspect provide are no help.

Where in the world did you ge t this light? I have been looking for it since I saw the English dude review it and cant find in the USA. It perfect for my needs and has so many colors to choose from like cyan, and 3 blues, red, green 2 whites, uv, laveneder! Also at 65 watts and a 36 gallon bowfront I think 2 would be perfect, not to mention @ a good price! BRS gave the razor glowing reviews and its from maxpect with the same colors. Brs said that it had the biggest range for UV and blue of any light they reviewed I believe this is including radion. I heard Jake from reef builders say that cyan cause increase florescence in oranges and yellows. Brs said they imaged the xtra uv would give corals more florescence as well from the razor. With radion you have to go for the blu version to get cyan and dont want a blue tank at least not during day hours. How has the color pop been for you? Would have liked to have seen the colors more in your tank! I am sure you are having increased algae because you used current before which is not very strong and you have 3 now so thats a huge increase in light! One questioon: Do you see cree lens andywhere on box or in instructions? I cant finout whatt they used. They usually use cree but since this is considered a budget light tey may have cheaped out! I iwish the etheal had green and red. Thats a real nice light and may end up with razor but I dont really want a light on legs. I also am upgrading soon so that wouldnt work and would work for a frag tank either! I dint plan to stay in this tank long, just couldnt resist setting it up since I got a plumbed tank with skimmer sump, wavemakers and sooo much more for 100 bucks! Even has current lights! Plus my first go at anything larget than a 10 gallon!

Hey! First off - I got the light direct from maxspect, so I would try to reach out to them!! As for color pop, the corals do look vibrant but i haven’t noticed anything crazy or that blows my other lights out of the water. There are lots of nice color channels though so you could totally adjust it to what ever looks best to you! As for Cree - I’ve never heard of that or saw any mention of it! You are right about the algae though - diatoms are still growing pretty fast

Sadly I couldn’t show off the true vibrance of the tank because the camera just doesn’t pick it up well - but I don’t love the look of a super blue tank either so I worked around that and what look pleasing to me
