@@obamabinladen-de7rt That was my original plan, I ended up selling my 6700XT as I found a 6800 for a good price. So far so good, made a video of my AM5 build, not sure of the ethernet speeds yet.

I used the EXPO, it's stable, no stability issues, 5600 working fine, the CAS is pretty high at 46, I did no manual tuning. I made a post yesterday on my community, my 7500F was able to hold an extra 200MHz while being UV on all core by -20.

They have support when there's major updates like when a new CPU comes out. I'm not sure about the compatibility with different ram, hopefully works.

Recently bought Ryzen 5900x for 280 euros-my 3rd processor on the same x570 TUF motherboard since 2019-which is roughly on par with the current Ryzen 7700 (it even trade blows with 7800X3D in a few games). The point: there is NO NEED to spend extra money for the next platform in your case-just buy yourself 5800X3D (gaming) or 5900x (productivity, gaming). And shortly put: stay on AM4, just replace the CPU. And, let me tell you: 5900x is a pure monster. Curve-optimized at -26 (undervolted) and paired with RX 6950 XT, it eats 50-layer After Effects projects for breakfast (not to mention games (tested it on Forza Horizon, Starfield, Civilization VI at 75 Hz 1440p monitor and 4K TV). I've been a computer user since 1990, an AMD enthusiast since 1998; built my first rig with K6-2 : )

@@DamnPictures Yh if I stayed on the AM4 platform I would personally get a 5800X3D for gaming or 5900x for productivity mixed with gaming. No need to move onto AM5 just yet unless you have a 4090 and need 7800X3D.

I'm guessing you're trying to boot with the iGPU and no external GPU? There might be a setting in BIOS maybe? I'm not sure tbh, if you have a dedicated GPU try with that and see what happens.

@@eclipseed5778 Yes definitely, I use it daily, and a heavy user, for just a gamer this is more than enough. If you want more ports, quad rams, more M.2 slots, more PCIE, ARGB header then will have to look for a different board.
