Great video as always. Seen the car in Trondheim/Norway. Plenty of space and big enough. Normally people who gets this type of car wants awd so I'm not sure what to think about it 🤔

Spend sometime looking at it in more detail, particularly underneath and the rear axle and then see how happy you are to hand over the ridiculous amount of cash they want! I suppose one thing will be good with it in Ireland…it’s leats lovely and warm so the range will be great!! Lol 🤡🤡🤡

I've seen these sort of utility pickups (usually Ford Ranger) being used by county councils or parks departments. Basic spec is probably a benefit in that setting. Not sure how well the RWD would go down though. The Ranger is at least part time AWD. I hate to go there with the frunk comment but this is one vehicle that needs one, for the charging cables. 😬

I've mostly seen Rangers driven by the type of managerial sort. A "big boy toy" that never seees a dirt path and fitted with ridiculous rims. They're all tax exempt as commercial vehicles arent they?

It seems like a lazy conversion to electric. The DC charge rate is poor and the charge port position makes it almost unusable for DC charging. There's no DC chargers with cables long enough to reach the port so you'll have to pull across two spaces. The lack of a frunk on an electric pick up is a missed opportunity as well. I'm disappointed with it.

That may be true, others disagree - yet it's the first of its kind (and not a 3 tonne Rivian or F150)

It works rather well really, either front parked or rear we found no problem charging one, it also makes sense converting an existing diesel, that way the can gauge interest similar MG ZS EV. Frunk would have been a nice thing to see.

@@PlanetautoUK id4s and etrons struggle to connect to most DC chargers I find it hard to believe that you found no problem with this.

Thanks for the comment Frojoe and you are correct, I should have tested DC charging port location. I was able to ac charge all week thankfully. I will get it again shortly and test out your question.

@@1frojoe we’ve video evidence at numerous chargers in Morecambe bay, courtesy of the type 2 chargers not working, hence needing CCS inc eb, Instavolt which reached perfectly fine and worked seamlessly.

For 60k I would need a bit more towing capacity, trailer alone is just under 1tonne.

I think you failed to mention that this pile of crap can’t tow the poxy 1500kgs whilst also having 1000kgs as payload! It’s either payload or tow apparently! I’ve had a good look over these on a port in the UK and if you look underneath the build quality is shocking! They’ve taken the live beam axle and spun it 180 so the electric motor is bolted into where the diff would be, this hangs down very low and is going to get smashed on anything more than a flat farm track! The battery tray is around 6inches from ground so I would think a Ford focus would have a better ramp break over angle than this and the range is shocking from other videos I’ve watched… and all for a mere 50k. This is the definition of clown world!!!

Hmm, this is a diesel/petrol car they just threw in the first and best battery/engine combo they could get a hold on and "tadaa" "all electric pickup" This is a kinda shit, as a pickup. Only rear wheel, no support for extra load etc. It is like buying a WV beetle, when you really need a full size coupe for your family. But I guess it was just that important to be the "first" out to try sell it. To quote a gem of a actress: I think I can smell shite, Yes I can definitely smell shite!
