We are in a bordering county to TN here in WNC. We are supposed to have a night time low of 3 on Monday. I can’t imagine. We lost our furnace in the flood, but have donated propane heaters that have really helped.

AMEN 🙏 My mother continually taught us as children, by her example, that as we grew up that we had an obligation to look out for the following who weren't able to help themselves: 1. Children 2. Elderly 3. Disabled people 4. Fur Babies She said that they weren't able to help themselves in times of danger and it was up to those who could to help the above or call for the help they needed. Her selflessness taught us to care about people and fur babies more as much as we cared about those we loved. I have spent my entire adult life rescuing abandoned and left to die fur babies. I also was a Humane Society foster home for 20+ years. I took the "no chance of rehabilitation and out of time" fur babies. My home never had less than 6-10 abandoned or deemed unable to rehabilitate fur babies. The dog I fostered that the Humane Society decided "that the ability to rehabilitate and put into a forever home at less than 5%" Out of the 63 dogs/fur babies I took in from the Humane Society, I was able to rehabilitate within a year and put them into their forever homes.... With the exception of 7 over the 20+ years... Those 7 precious fur babies stayed with my family and we became their forever home ❤️

Every day is the day for this♥️ I've been doing this for years but right now I have six stray dogs at the river. I was able to catch one pup and get it to a good foster. I have two more pups. A big dog. And 3 Chi's over there. I put shelters out with the last freeze. I'm surprised the city has let them be for now 🙏🏼. I'm heading over to feed and break ice with fresh water right now.

Okay. As an Ohioan I've learned to embrace the snow, ice, and deep freezes of winter. Snow angels, sledding, building snowmen, and watching how beautiful the powdery snow looks against the streetlights at night are all things I grew up loving. This deep freeze, however, hasn't even let up long enough for the piles of ice on sidewalks and side streets to become walkable and drivable, and we just need like 2 days of above freezing temps, or freezing with a few hours of sun, to unbury ourselves.

I'm in PA north of Harrisburg. We got at least 6 inches of snow here, maybe more. Northwestern PA didn't get as much or even any lol. Coastal storms like this one impact the southeastern part of PA more and other storms from the west affect the north & western part of PA more. The Appalachians split the state and block storms from the west. It's weird how one side gets hammered and the other side of the mts gets nothing. 🤷‍♀️

Bethlehem Georgia here (off HWY 316 and 20 minutes from Epps Bridge in Athens) and we're being told we're going to get more snow than we did on Friday January 10th! We got just shy of 3" that day, that later in the afternoon had about 1/4th of an inch of ice on top of the snow. I'm a native South Texan who never saw snow, or really a true winter, before moving to Georgia in 1999... I definitely don't miss the South Texas heat... However I don't like snow either 🙄

If you do not have a snow shovel use a regular shovel if you live in the south. I am from a suburb in my. The trick is to shovel in layers. Do not wait until the snow stops. Do it every hour. I would suggest ordering a snow shovel in case this happens again. Also order Hot Hands to out in your gloves. I am looking forward to the snow but we are set up to handle it. Just please be careful and try to enjoy it. Stay safe.

My 6 feral cats live a comfortable life with 3 meals a day. Two were kittens when they showed up with their mother. Then she got pregnant again. She was hard core, spawn of satan feral. We finally managed to catch her with a hog net and got her fixed along with all of her boys. She’s chilled out tremendously, but still won’t let us get close. Her boys are love bugs, but we’re the only humans they don’t run from. They don’t like storms or windy days. We have a covered patio with three large Rubbermaid bins lined with insulation and fleece blankets. We’re supposed to see snow/ice in the Houston area. This should be interesting. They’ve been through tropical storms and a hurricane, but this will be their first experience with winter precipitation, since they weren’t around in 2021 for that mess.

I like watching your videos. You're very knowledgeable. I have one suggestion. Can you change the map at the beginning. It's always the same drawing , maybe shaded different. . It gives your audience in these areas the impression a big snow is coming. I live in South Central Kentucky, and it's just the cold we expect

I’m here in the upper Peninsula of Michigan it is -9 feeling like -27! When I was young we always heard “ it’s too cold to snow.” Now it snows at any temperature. Our total snowfall so far is 49.6 inches of snow and last yr at this time we only had 29.5. I live in an area that usually gets hundreds of inches of snow throughout the winter. As of last yr, that’s changing. Maybe we will get warmer 😎and the south gets colder?! 🥶 That’d be nice❣️😊
