I worked at a huge ranch in hills prarie tx....for many years and never knew the gas station store from the movie was on the same property....it was closed for a really long time till they opened it up and sold bbq and had chainsaw massacre merch all throughout the store....theres even a few tiny cabins you can rent outback ....right off of 304 rd...haven't worked on that ranch in 7 years...maybe they're still open

Bands from this time period were before 7 and 8 string guitars became popular. I think a downtuned six string with non-bridge-cable sized string gauges sounds better than the twangy 7 and 8 strings that came later on. I could be wrong, but these sound like they are in that loose tension zone just before it becomes unusable.
